Railway renovation to Di An Railway Factory in 2024

The Ministry of Transport has just issued a document responding to the petition of voters of Binh Duong province regarding the implementation of the project to renovate and repair the railway section leading to the Di An Railway Factory.

The Ministry of Transport has approved the project investment plan and assigned the budget for the implementation of the national railway infrastructure maintenance plan in 2023. Currently, Vietnam Railways Corporation is preparing an economic-technical report, submitting it to the Vietnam Railway Authority for approval in the fourth quarter of 2023 as a basis for implementation and is expected to be completed in 2024.

The Ministry of Transport has approved and implemented the project to renovate and repair the railway from Di An station to Di An Railway Factory, expected to be completed in 2024 (Illustration photo).

The Ministry of Transport has also directed the Vietnam Railway Authority and the Vietnam Railway Corporation to urgently implement the project of Upgrading and repairing the railway from Km 0+000 - Km 1+500, the railway line to Di An Railway Factory to collect water into the collection pit on the right of Ly Thuong Kiet Street and the collection pit at the intermediate platform of Di An station; then flow into the city's general drainage system. The completed project will overcome the flooding situation along the railway branch from Di An station to Di An Railway Factory.

The drainage system of Di An station has been invested in and upgraded in the project of Renovation and upgrading of essential works on the Nha Trang - Saigon section and the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City railway line.

The Ministry of Transport also requested the People's Committee of Binh Duong province to direct local authorities to clear the encroachment on the railway traffic safety corridor on the route to build a drainage system along both sides of the railway.

Coordinate with Vietnam Railway Authority and Vietnam Railway Corporation in the process of implementing the project of Railway Renovation and Repair from Km 0+000 - Km 1+500, the railway line to Di An Railway Factory to ensure progress and quality in accordance with the provisions of law.
