Dismissal of Chief of Police of Bai Chay Ward

The Director of Quang Ninh Provincial Police has just signed a decision to remove the head of Bai Chay Ward Police (Ha Long City) and transfer Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Nam to another job.

According to the Quang Ninh Provincial Police, the above decision is appropriate to the nature and level of violations committed by Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Nam. In addition, the Quang Ninh Provincial Police also informed the entire provincial police about Lieutenant Colonel Nam's violations, as well as the viewpoint and decision of the Provincial Police Party Committee on disciplinary action to gain experience for the entire force.

Previously, immediately after verifying the authenticity of the video posted on social media about the substandard behavior of Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Thanh Nam on the evening of May 17, Quang Ninh Provincial Police issued a decision to temporarily suspend Lieutenant Colonel Nam from work to carry out the process of reviewing and handling disciplinary action for violations according to regulations.

Regarding the incident, based on the report of the Party Committee of Bai Chay Ward, on May 22, the Inspection Committee of Ha Long City Party Committee also met and unanimously voted to impose Party disciplinary warning on Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, member of the Party Committee of the Ward, Party Cell Secretary, and Chief of the Police of Bai Chay Ward.
