American singer Miley Cyrus prefers Pilates, often practicing it for 15 to 20 minutes each day to maintain her toned physique.
At 31, singer Miley Cyrus stunned audiences and other artists with her slender figure and toned physique while performing at the Grammy Awards. The performance became one of the most memorable and widely discussed moments after the event. Miley's fitness routine and diet and exercise regimen became a hot topic of discussion.
Many sources suggest she prefers high-intensity workouts, a habit she developed since her marriage to ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. However, her daily workout routine is much easier to follow. Miley is a loyal fan of Pilates. She has been practicing this form of exercise since at least 2013, even building a separate room in her house just for Pilates.
Since its creation by instructor Joseph Pilates a century ago, Pilates has become a widely popular full-body workout method, especially among women who prefer low-impact exercises that focus on improving core strength, flexibility, and mental well-being.

In March 2020, during the first Covid-19 lockdown, Miley livestreamed a quick Pilates session with her trainer, Saul Choza. He guided Miley and her fans through a series of five core strengthening and leg stretching exercises. Other exercises included leg kicks, leg raises, cross-legged kicks, and hip raises. Trainer Choza noted that beginners can repeat each set about three times, gradually increasing to 12 repetitions.
Miley's former trainer said she used to work out for half an hour, most days of the week, focusing on her legs and glutes, followed by her abs. However, after divorcing Liam, Miley shortened her workout time to just a few hours.
"Take time to rest, relax, enjoy warm meals and your favorite sweets. Even just 15 to 20 minutes of exercise each day is better than nothing. Exercise is an important way to show self-love," Miley said.
Besides Pilates, Miley has also practiced meditation for many years. In September 2016, on The Tonight Show, she shared about Ashtanga, an advanced yoga practice with a series of postures linked together by breath, requiring considerable physical strength, flexibility, and endurance.
