Hanoi University of Science and Technology
Hanoi University of Science and Technology plans to organize 6 rounds of thinking assessment exams to get university admission results in 2024. As planned, the first round of exams will be held in December this year, on December 2 - 3. The remaining five rounds of exams will be held in 2024, lasting from January to June.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology plans to hold the exam in Hanoi, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Hai Phong, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Da Nang, etc. The content and format of the exam will remain the same as in 2023, including three parts: Mathematics (60 minutes), Reading Comprehension (30 minutes) and Science/Problem Solving (60 minutes) with three levels of thinking assessment (reproduction, reasoning and higher level).
The questions are constructed in the form of multiple choice with four types of structures: Select the correct answer, true/false, drag and drop, and short answer. This test will focus on testing the thinking that has been formed during the student's learning process.
Candidates who take this exam will be granted a certificate of exam results valid for 2 years and can use this exam score to apply for admission to universities that accept the results.

Vietnam National University, Hanoi
According to information from Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tien Thao - Director of the Testing Center (Hanoi National University), the 2024 Competency Assessment Exam (HAS) is expected to be held in 6 sessions. The exam will take place from March to June 2024, with an estimated scale of about 75,000 exams.
According to the plan, the entrance exam is expected to be held in 10 provinces/cities including: Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Hai Phong, Nam Dinh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh.
The registration portal will open from February 18, 2024. According to regulations, candidates can take the exam a maximum of 2 times/year, the registration period between 2 consecutive exam sessions is 28 days (including holidays, holidays, weekends) depending on their wishes. The school's 2024 Competency Assessment exam fee is 500,000 VND/time.
National Economics University
At the conference summarizing the 2023 regular university admissions, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Duc Trieu - Head of Training Management Department of National Economics University (Hanoi) said that the school will keep the enrollment quota and admission method stable in 2024 as in 2023. Accordingly, the school will reserve about 18% of the enrollment quota for the admission method based on high school graduation exam scores (down 7% compared to 2023), increasing the combined admission to 80%, and direct admission by 2%.
"National Economics University is also conducting research to simplify the combined admission method without affecting the rights of candidates" - Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Duc Trieu informed.
It is expected that from 2025, the school will adjust the admission combination to suit the method and content of the high school graduation exam.
University of Commerce
It is expected that in 2024, the University of Commerce will enroll 8 programs with an international career orientation. According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Hoang - Principal of the school, the 8 programs include: Business Administration (Business Administration major); Hotel Management (Hotel Management major);
Commercial Marketing (Marketing major); International Certified Integrated Accounting (ICEAW CFAB - Accounting major); Logistics and Import-Export (Logistics and Supply Chain Management major); International Trade (International Business major), Finance - Commercial Banking (Finance - Banking major); Business Human Resource Management (Human Resource Management major).
Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training requested universities and pedagogical colleges to quickly complete the 2024 enrollment methods; prepare enrollment methods from 2025 in accordance with the 2018 general education program. The enrollment methods must ensure compliance with the requirements, content, and structure of the 2018 General Education Program.
In addition, the Ministry also requires educational institutions to increase the application of information technology and digital transformation in management systems, teaching and learning. Schools continue to deploy the application of information technology and digital transformation in training institutions according to the instructions and effectively implement the assessment of the level of digital transformation of training institutions according to the set of indicators and evaluation criteria of the Ministry of Education and Training.
