These days, workers in the production areas of the Hong Duc High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative in Quang Van Commune (Quang Xuong) are always busy and hurried to take care of and create high-quality agricultural products ready to supply the market at the end of the year. Not only investing in the production of the main product, the Queen melon, the Cooperative also expands to other cold-loving vegetables with high market demand, such as potatoes, cauliflower, cruciferous vegetables, and squash. Thanks to stable weather and good care, the production area of the Hong Duc High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative promises to yield good productivity and high output.
Mr. Vu Ngoc Tuan, Director of the Cooperative, said: “The Cooperative was established in 2021, on an area of 3.5 hectares, investing in synchronous construction according to the model of applying science - technology, high technology in the production of clean vegetables, tubers and fruits, ensuring food hygiene and safety. After 4 years of development, the products of the Cooperative have been welcomed and ordered by the market and consumers inside and outside the province. Therefore, before, during and after the Lunar New Year 2025, the Cooperative has received a number of large orders of melons and vegetables from clean food stores. Therefore, since the 10th lunar month, we have promoted production, applied science and technology to ensure the supply of quality goods to the market”.
It is known that with 4 greenhouses of more than 5,000m2 for high-tech agricultural production, by the end of this year, the cooperative will supply the market with about 10 tons of queen melon, 5 tons of guava, 10 tons of potatoes and dozens of tons of leafy vegetables... creating regular jobs for 5 workers and many other seasonal workers.
As one of the large-scale production units in the seafood sector, starting from October, Cu Nham Fish Sauce Cooperative (Quang Xuong) has been bustling and busy preparing goods for the busiest production and business season of the year. In addition to key products such as fish sauce, shrimp paste, shrimp paste, dried mussels, the Cooperative also purchases other types of dried seafood products to serve the market during the Lunar New Year. Mr. Thach Van Hieu, Director of the Cooperative shared: “The Cooperative has 3 OCOP products, including Cu Nham special fish sauce which has just been re-recognized as a 4-star OCOP. Currently, the Cooperative's products are available in 400 stores and 40 official agents in many provinces and cities across the country. Therefore, when the demand for consumer products increases at the end of the year, the unit's products also increase in orders, especially before, during and after Tet. Therefore, in addition to ensuring the supply of regular consumer goods, the cooperative has encouraged member households to increase production and processing by 10-20% to ensure supply for the market. From now until Tet, the facility is expected to consume about 20,000 liters of fish sauce and dozens of tons of dried seafood products for member households, meeting the increasing demand of the market."
Currently, Thanh Hoa province has 1,349 cooperatives operating in many fields, supplying most of the food and consumer products for the domestic and foreign markets. Of which, 103 agricultural cooperatives participate in the production of 123 OCOP products (8 products achieving 4 stars, 115 products achieving 3 stars). These are quality and reputable products that are well received by the market, not only for daily use but also strongly consumed in the gift channel. Therefore, along with the excitement of the market, at this time, cooperatives in the province have been promoting production to supply goods to the market.
Mr. Le Hong Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Cooperative Union, said: "To prepare for the Lunar New Year 2025, cooperatives in the province are promoting production and distributing products to the market, not only through traditional consumption channels but also through fairs and e-commerce channels... To create a large and stable supply source, the Provincial Cooperative Union has coordinated with localities and specialized units to promote and encourage cooperatives to promote investment in modern machinery and equipment, apply science and technology, and digital transformation to improve product quality. At the same time, actively support cooperatives with typical and quality products to participate in fairs and exhibitions, contributing to promotion, creating motivation to increase production and expand consumption markets. Thereby, creating good space for the development of the collective economic sector and cooperatives in 2025 and the following stages".
