According to Mr. Bui Trung Nghia, Vice President of VCCI, Vietnam possesses a vibrant startup ecosystem, attracting the participation of innovative startups, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), as well as a large number of universities, research institutes, investment funds, and international support organizations.
In 2024, for the first time, Vietnam's innovative startup ecosystem ranked 56th in Startup Blink's Global Startup Ecosystem Index. Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City entered the top 200, and Da Nang city entered the top 1,000 global startup cities.
“The entrepreneurial spirit has spread strongly in many localities, creating typical bright spots and making many contributions to building the entrepreneurial ecosystem,” affirmed a representative of VCCI.
With the title of Typical Locality in Building a Startup Ecosystem in 2024, the Voting Council found 3 provinces representing the North, Central and South regions including: Cao Bang, Binh Dinh, Dong Thap.
Mr. Pham Thien Nghia, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province, said that Dong Thap's entrepreneurial spirit is closely linked to the agricultural sector. "The goal is to help people not only grow rice but also maximize the value of agricultural products, creating more income and opportunities for sustainable development," he said.
Dong Thap province also established special support organizations, typically the Farmers' Association and Business Café models... These are places that connect individuals and organizations with creative ideas, helping them meet, learn and share start-up experiences.
Within the framework of the event, the Organizing Committee also launched the National Startup Program 2025, with the hope that startup activities will continue to receive more attention, support and promotion in the coming time, in order to create effective business projects, contribute to economic growth and enhance Vietnam's position globally.
