Swiss Ambassadors to Southeast Asia Explore Tourism Project for Sustainable Development

The program was attended by the Swiss Ambassadors to Vietnam, Bangkok (Thailand), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Singapore, Manila (Philippines), Jakarta (Indonesia)... and a number of leaders of the Swiss Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

At Cam Ha commune (Hoi An city), the delegation enjoyed local dishes, participated in cooking experiences, and listened to an introduction to the activities of the Swiss Tourism Project for Sustainable Development of Vietnam in Hoi An.

Delegates also visited Tra Que vegetable village - the best tourist village in 2024 voted by the United Nations Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) and learned about the history, culture as well as organic farming techniques using indigenous farming methods.

On this occasion, the delegation also visited "Kumquat Garden" - a unit participating in the Swiss Sustainable Tourism Project. Here, the delegation learned about the process of converting agriculture to sustainable agricultural tourism and connecting with the local tourism product chain, supporting the empowerment of female entrepreneurs.
