(Dan Tri) - For more than a month now, the Principal of Le Van Tam Secondary School in Gia Lai province has not come to work at school, causing the November salaries of staff and teachers to be delayed in payment.
A representative of Le Van Tam Secondary School (Ia Pior Commune, Chu Prong District, Gia Lai Province) said that the November salary of the school's staff and teachers was delayed. The reason was that Mr. Doan Huu Khue, the school's principal, had not gone to work for over a month, so no one had signed the relevant documents to confirm the salary payment.
Previously, Chu Prong District Inspectorate issued a conclusion on the inspection of the management and use of financial resources at Le Van Tam Secondary School and discovered violations of more than VND31 million. Chu Prong District Inspectorate also recommended transferring the case file to Chu Prong District Police for consideration and handling according to their authority.

In September, the People's Committee of Chu Prong district issued a decision to temporarily suspend Mr. Doan Huu Khue, Principal of Le Van Tam Secondary School, for 15 days to serve the investigation.
Then, the People's Committee of Chu Prong district extended the suspension of Mr. Doan Huu Khue for another 15 days.
During the time the principal is suspended from work, the vice principal of the school is assigned to take charge and handle work according to his authority.
A representative of Le Van Tam Secondary School said that according to regulations, salary payments for school staff and teachers will be made from the 5th to the 15th of each month. Due to the lack of a principal, it was not until November 20 that the District People's Committee directed the vice principal to sign and issue salaries to staff and teachers according to regulations.
A representative of Le Van Tam Secondary School said that according to the work schedule, Mr. Khue was supposed to go to work from October 15. However, up to this point, he has not returned to work. Therefore, many tasks in the school have been delayed. In particular, the payment of November salaries to school staff and teachers.
"To resolve the unit's work, the school contacted by phone, but Mr. Khue only said he was busy and had not yet come to work at school. The Department of Education and Training of Chu Prong district also did not have any written instructions to take charge. Regarding this matter, the school has sent many reports to the Department of Education and Training and the authorities," said a representative of the school's leadership.
Le Van Tam Secondary School has 907 students, divided into 18 classes. The whole school has 21 staff and teachers in charge of management and teaching. The school is short of 20 positions compared to the assigned position quota in 2024.
The lack of staff puts teachers under great pressure in their teaching work. In addition, the delay in salary payment also has a significant impact on teachers' psychology.
Dan Tri reporters also contacted representatives of the Department of Education and Training of Chu Prong district many times but received no response.
