- "Anh trai vu ngan cong gai" is truly a memorable milestone in my artistic journey. Thanks to the program, I have the opportunity to get closer to the audience, to listen and feel the love that everyone has for my music . Their support has become a great motivation, urging me to try to bring better quality music products.

Besides, being accompanied by 32 talented people helped me "overcome difficulties" and learn many new things to improve myself. The program gave me the most complete and brilliant summer 2024.

How does SOOBIN feel when the image of the boy playing the monochord from his childhood becomes popular again?

- In the past, when I brought the monochord to perform, there were compliments but also many ridicule, which made me shy and embarrassed. Gradually, as I grew up, I realized that the thing I had been with since childhood was my terrifying "weapon".

Now I can confidently perform in front of tens of thousands of people or confidently bring it to the international stage to honor traditional Vietnamese musical instruments.

How does your father - People's Artist Huynh Tu - influence your life?

- My father was the first person to inspire me and guide me towards the path of art. I feel lucky to have inherited the skills and been guided by professionals since I was young, so I had the opportunity to be exposed to the career path very early.

My father is not only the one who ignited my passion for art, but also the one who accompanied, shared and encouraged me on every step, an endless source of inspiration and an ideal model that I always aspire to.

Besides inheriting his father's passion and artistic inspiration, what else did SOOBIN learn from his father's personality and outlook on life?

- Every time I see my father working passionately, I am very inspired. Since I was little, I wanted to be as passionate about my job as my father.

He also taught me the motto that I must do my job with all my passion and enthusiasm, even if it is the smallest task, I must try my best. Gradually, I consider this as a guiding principle that helps me always have the motivation to overcome difficulties on my career path.

What are your concerns about bringing national culture and traditional music closer to young audiences?

- My concerns revolve around the two words "correct" and "good". Vietnamese culture is very diverse, the more you learn, the more interesting things you discover .

But I am a young person, sometimes I find it difficult to fully understand that value and will always wonder if I am doing the right thing. Because I am an artist, the music I make, what I say will have a certain influence on the audience.

I am very afraid that I will convey culture in the wrong way, causing traditional values ​​to be lost. And if it is correct, I wonder how to make it good. Because modern music trends change very quickly, combining traditional cultural elements into music in a natural, accessible way that makes young people feel interested and want to learn more about national culture is a challenge but also a great motivation.

There was a time when he was famous with many hits such as "Behind a Girl", "Going to Return"... and there was also a period when his career stagnated, some songs were criticized for lacking breakthroughs, how did SOOBIN react to these two extremes?

- I accept it normally. Of course I'm happy when I'm complimented, of course I'm sad when I'm criticized. But those are just passing emotions at that moment. What I do is accept what comes.

I accept compliments to gain more motivation, and I take criticism to put pressure on myself to develop more, to think more, and to constantly renew myself.

Being over 30 is not the ideal age for an artist to release a song that can create a fever, especially in the context of Gen Z singers dominating the music charts. What is SOOBIN's opinion on this?

- An artist's age is not a measure of artistic value or the success of a work. Each artist at each age and career stage will have different standards of success. The most important thing for me is to maintain creativity and connect with listeners through the unique values ​​that I bring in my artistic development journey.

So I think if artists believe in their own values ​​and style, constantly learn and create, they can achieve success at any age.

Many stars are afraid of losing their time. Does SOOBIN feel pressured to maintain his popularity and maintain his position so that he won't be "overtaken" by the younger generation?

- Actually, maintaining popularity and maintaining position is something that any artist is interested in, especially in a competitive music environment like today.

The younger generation today has many talented and energetic friends. That is what I like and learn from my juniors. It is true that I feel pressured, but this pressure is part of the process of self-development, like the saying "pressure makes diamonds".

Thanks to this competition, I told myself to try harder to improve myself and my music. Instead of worrying about being out of date, what I care most about is whether my music is good enough to connect with the audience, in line with the development trend of modern music.

As a public figure, SOOBIN seems to always be secretive about his private life, rarely sharing his ups and downs and events. How did you overcome the difficult and unstable periods in your life and career?

- I usually don't share much about my personal life, because I want the public to remember me through my work and music products. When I encounter difficult times, I choose to take time off, spend time with family and close friends to find stability.

The important thing is that even when I am stressed or feeling unsteady, I still find a way to maintain a strong spirit by taking care of myself. When I have a clear goal, I always try to be steadfast, because as long as I stay focused, I will overcome any challenge.
