Vinacafé Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company (HoSE: VCF) has just announced its business results for the fourth quarter of 2024, achieving net revenue of nearly VND 889 billion, an increase of nearly 10% over the same period in 2023. Gross profit margin in the period was approximately 21.6%.
Thanks to increased revenue and cost control, pre-tax net profit from production and business activities of Vinacafé Bien Hoa increased by 17%.
This company reported net profit in the last quarter of 2024 of more than 159 billion VND.
Accumulated for the whole year, Vinacafé Bien Hoa's net revenue increased by 8.6% compared to 2023, reaching VND 2,556 billion. However, the cost of goods sold and service provision increased by nearly 12%, which was one of the reasons why after-tax profit only reached VND 446.4 billion.
Thus, Vinacafé Bien Hoa exceeded the yearly plan in net revenue expenditure by VND56 billion and only achieved about 95% of the after-tax profit target (low scenario).
Specializing in the production and trading of coffee and non-alcoholic beverages, cereals, etc., in 2024, the coffee and non-alcoholic beverage industry will contribute nearly 85% of the company's total net revenue, reaching more than 2,100 billion VND.
The gross profit margin of this industry is nearly 16%; that is, for every 100 VND of net revenue from selling coffee and non-alcoholic beverages, Vinacafé Bien Hoa earns 16 VND of gross profit. This ratio is down about 2% compared to 2023.
By the end of 2024, Vinacafé Bien Hoa will have 230 employees, six fewer than at the beginning of the year.
Headquartered in Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park, Dong Nai, Vinacafé Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company is a famous enterprise in the market not only for its long-standing branded products but also for its generous dividend policy.
In 2018, the company paid a dividend of up to 660% and in recent years has maintained a steady 240-250%.
The company's 2023 dividend rate is 250%, meaning shareholders will receive 25,000 VND for each share they own.
With an ownership ratio of nearly 99%, parent company Masan Beverage received more than 656 billion VND in dividends from Vinacafé Bien Hoa.
During the past year, Vinacafé Bien Hoa increased sales of goods and services to Masan Consumer Goods Joint Stock Company (parent company of Masan Beverage), with a total transaction value of more than VND 2,210 billion.
The predecessor of Vinacafé Bien Hoa was the Coronel coffee factory, started by Mr. Marcel Coronel, a French national, in Bien Hoa in 1968.
The factory initially had a design capacity of about 80 tons of instant coffee per year, with the entire equipment system imported from Germany.
After the country's reunification, Coronel returned to France and handed over the factory.
After decades of development, Vinacafé Bien Hoa was equitized in 2004 and listed VCF shares on HoSE in 2011. In the same year, Masan Consumer became the parent company after publicly purchasing shares.
