According to information from the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, all 6 Hanoi students, representing Vietnamese students participating in the International Junior Science Olympiad - IJSO 2024, excellently won medals, including 5 Silver medals and 1 Bronze medal.

The Silver Medal winners include: Le Tung Lam, Le Gia Hong Minh, Nguyen Ngoc Que Chi (Hanoi - Amsterdam High School); Vuong Ha Chi, Vu Nhat Long (Newton Middle School - High School). Nguyen Thanh Nhan (Nguyen Hue High School) won the Bronze Medal. These are excellent faces, selected from more than 200 students from high schools who participated in the selection exam for the team to participate in the International Junior Science Olympiad, organized by the Hanoi Department of Education and Training. The students had 2 months of intensive training and coaching with the teachers in charge of the team. The 2024 International Junior Science Olympiad - IJSO will be held in Romania from December 2 to 12, with the participation of more than 300 students from 52 countries and territories. Candidates will take the natural science exam in 3 subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology in 240 minutes. For each subject, students must take 3 exams including: An objective test on general knowledge; a theoretical exam requiring skills in synthesis, analysis, autonomy, problem solving, calculation, science, and creativity; a practical exam with skills in using modern tools and machines.Award ceremony in Romania. For this exam, for many years, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training has been trusted by the Ministry of Education and Training and the City People's Committee to select and establish a team of students to participate and all have achieved excellent results, contributing to affirming the quality and prestige of Vietnam's leading education. Through the times participating in the exam (from 2007 to 2023), the Hanoi team representing Vietnam has always achieved high results, winning 77 medals, including 16 Gold Medals.
