CP Vietnam has just been honored to receive two awards "Top 100 Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam in the manufacturing sector" and the Special Award "Top 5 Pioneering Enterprises in implementing circular economy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in 2024". The announcement ceremony of Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam in 2024 (CSI100) took place on November 29, 2024 at the Sheraton Hanoi Hotel, with the participation of Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Planning and Investment , Vice Chairman of the National Council for Sustainable Development, together with leaders of ministries, departments, branches and representatives of excellent enterprises in sustainable development activities. The announcement ceremony with the theme "Enterprises rising in the Green Era", concluded the 9th consecutive year of tireless efforts in searching, promoting, spreading, evaluating and encouraging enterprises to participate in the Program for Assessment and Announcement of Sustainable Enterprises in Vietnam (CSI).

Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, Representative of CP Vietnam received the award "Top 100 sustainable enterprises in the manufacturing sector".

At the ceremony, representing CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company (CP Vietnam), Mr. Vu Anh Tuan, Senior Deputy General Director received the award "Top 100 sustainable enterprises in the production sector"; Mr. Worawit Arunraksa, Assistant Deputy General Director, Manager of Sustainable Development Department received the award "Top 5 pioneering enterprises implementing circular economy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2024". The "Sustainable Development Enterprise" award is an initiative of the Vietnam Business Council for Sustainable Development (VBCSD) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), aiming to evaluate enterprises based on the CSI index - a tool to measure the value of comprehensive sustainable development in terms of economy, environment, and society. This index not only supports enterprises in improving processes but also serves as a foundation for change management, towards sustainable production and business activities. CP Vietnam has been recognized as a “Sustainable Development Enterprise” for many consecutive years, affirming the company’s commitment to sustainable development in particular and CP Group in general. In addition, the Top 5 award on implementing circular economy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions also shows the company’s efforts in achieving its goal towards 2030: Reducing 15% of direct and indirect greenhouse gas emissions per production unit compared to the base year 2020, and by 2050 achieving zero net emissions through investing in energy-saving equipment and machinery, implementing an energy management system to monitor consumption, searching for and applying renewable energy (solar energy, biomass), and stopping the use of coal from 2021. CPV actively applies the circular economy model, minimizing environmental impacts and supporting the protection of natural ecosystems. A typical example is the project to plant 1.5 million trees in Vietnam in the period of 2021-2025, including 500,000 trees at the company's factory and farm system, and 1,000,000 trees through cooperation with localities and departments.

Mr. Worawit Arunraksa, Representative of CP Vietnam received the award "Top 5 Pioneering Enterprises implementing circular economy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2024".

In 2024, the CSI Program attracted nearly 500 enterprises nationwide, from different types and sizes of enterprises to submit applications. This number shows that the level of interest in Sustainable Development in the country has improved significantly, reflecting the transformation in awareness and action of enterprises. Sharing at the event, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan emphasized that participating in the CSI 100 program has played an important role in the sustainable development journey of CP Vietnam. The CSI index helps enterprises improve their management systems, enhance their competitiveness and strengthen trust with the community, consumers, as well as partners in the supply chain. With the closed 3F Plus model: Feed (seeds and animal feed, aquatic feed), Farm (breeding animals and farms), Food (food processing and distribution), “Plus” (sustainable development, traceability, and environmental friendliness), CPV's business lines have joined forces to develop sustainably. The award recognized this time is the "sweet fruit" that the departments in the company have cultivated together. CPV's sustainability journey is not only limited to meeting national and international standards, but also actively supporting the community and protecting the environment. The company continuously innovates its strategy, from business development to implementing the United Nations' sustainable development goals, through: applying the circular economy model, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, implementing nature conservation projects and supporting sustainable livelihoods for the community. As a business enterprise that always aims for social and environmental responsibility, CPV continues to affirm its mission "From farm to kitchen", and is steadfast in its goal of becoming "The Kitchen of the World " with sustainable and long-term values. For CP Vietnam, sustainable development is not only a commitment but also a core foundation, where the interests of the country and the community are always prioritized. The company constantly strives to build a sustainable economic ecosystem, in harmony with society and the environment, so that every step forward of CP Vietnam is for a green, prosperous and sustainably developed Vietnam.
