Buon Nui flourishes

Coming to Nui village in early July, it is not difficult to feel the change in the new appearance of the village, the green coffee, pepper and corn gardens add to the grandeur and spaciousness of the newly built houses. People are even happier that the main road of the village leading to Buor village, Ea Po village, Trum village is being urgently constructed and soon completed and put into use for convenient travel for people.

Buon Nui is a place that preserves many traditional cultural values of the Ede ethnic group.

According to Mr. Y Sieng Prieng, in Nui village, who used to participate in the Fulro sweep force in the Central Highlands, the resistance war against the French, not only in Nui village but also in many Ede youths in Tam Thang commune participated in the revolution. For the Ede people, no matter how difficult and arduous, they still do not lose heart, turning to the Party and Uncle Ho.

After the war, following the Party and Uncle Ho's words, the villagers united and made efforts to build their homeland. Despite many difficulties, with their unceasing efforts, the resilient Ede people of the past now continue to take the lead in building their homeland, contributing to the commune's efforts to achieve the goal of building a new rural area (NTM) and continuing to make efforts to complete the construction of an advanced NTM.

Thanks to the attention of all levels and sectors, Buon Nui has now become vibrant. The whole village currently has more than 280 households with about 1,400 people, but only 18 households are poor, about 60% of households are well-off and rich, 40% of households have purchased audio-visual equipment, many households have motorbikes, tractors and machinery for agricultural production. Buon Nui is also one of the villages that preserves and maintains festivals and traditional occupations such as brocade weaving, gong playing, making and using traditional musical instruments. The village has been built into a stopover on the "Symphony of the New Wind" tourist route belonging to the Dak Nong UNESCO Global Geopark.

The road from Buon Nui to Ea Po, Buor and Trum villages is being urgently constructed.

According to the head of Y Bin E Ban village, thanks to the State bringing electricity to the village, many households have access to clean water, and the roads are concreted and clean. People are united in building a new, spacious countryside, and their lives are increasingly prosperous and happy. The most gratifying thing is that the youth in the village know how to preserve culture, develop economic models, and the number of students studying at universities, colleges, and vocational schools is increasing. People have abandoned many backward customs and formed a new cultural lifestyle.

It is known that not only Nui hamlet but also hamlets such as Ea Po, Buor, Trum are supported and invested by the Party and the State in many economic aspects, which has helped people gradually apply technology to production, boldly convert ineffective crop areas to industrial crops with high economic value such as coffee, cashew, pepper... Therefore, people's lives have gradually improved.

People believe in and follow the Party

In recent years, with the attention of the Party and the State, Tam Thang commune has effectively implemented socio-economic development programs. The Ede people wholeheartedly follow the Party, determined not to let hunger and poverty haunt them forever.

Returning to the Ede villages, recalling the terrorist attack last June, we heard the villagers indignantly condemning the incident in which a number of people were incited and provoked by “misguided” people to attack the headquarters of the People’s Committee of Ea Tieu and Ea Ktur communes, Cu Kuin district (Dak Lak) in the early morning of June 11, causing serious consequences. Many village elders and prestigious people condemned the terrorist acts, causing insecurity and disorder, and at the same time called on the ethnic people in the area to strengthen solidarity and build prosperous and beautiful villages.

Mr. Y Taih Prieng, a prestigious person, Head of Trum village, said: "In the past time, the Party and the State have always cared for and supported people to develop the economy, and had many policies to care for the people, especially in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. People do not listen, do not believe, and do not follow the words of bad people who entice, incite, and cause division in the Great National Unity bloc. People always believe in the leadership of the Party and the State, strengthen solidarity to build a rich and beautiful village, a prosperous and happy life."

In Tam Thang commune, Mr. Y Duan B'krong, a party member, a prestigious person who is the "mainstay" of the village, retired with a lot of experience working in the field of agriculture and farmers. Returning to Nui village, with the accumulated knowledge, he often shares and mobilizes people to renovate mixed gardens to develop the economy. In addition, he also mobilizes and calls on people not to listen to and follow bad people who incite and entice, causing insecurity and disorder, and loss of national solidarity; actively donate land and contribute money to the State to build rural concrete roads. Because he can say and do, the villagers trust and follow him.

According to Mr. Y Bin E Ban, Head of Nui village, in order to continue improving people's lives, ensuring political security, social order and safety, and ensuring security policies for ethnic minority areas, the Party and State need to continue to pay attention to and grasp the thoughts and feelings of ethnic minorities; effectively carry out propaganda, education, and mobilize people to comply with the Party and State's ethnic policies and guidelines; promote grassroots democracy, effectively resolve people's concerns, raise awareness of self-reliance and self-improvement, and create trust and consensus among the people.

In addition, focus resources, diversify investment resources for ethnic minority and mountainous areas, prioritize infrastructure investment, solve the problem of lack of residential land, production land, and domestic water for difficult areas; develop human resources, improve people's knowledge associated with vocational training, and create jobs for people.

It can be affirmed that, with the increasingly improved ethnic policy system, the Ede ethnic people in particular and other ethnic minorities in general have increasingly better material and spiritual lives. The people trust in the leadership of the Party and State, and are attached to and accompany the nation. These are the most authentic and clear evidences to refute the distortion, slander, and division of the great national unity bloc of forces hostile to the Party and State.
