News from Kien Giang Province Oncology Hospital on December 19 said that the hospital's doctors had just performed a surgery lasting more than 4 hours, removing a 15 kg ovarian tumor from the body of patient LTH (54 years old, residing in An Minh District, Kien Giang).

Previously, patient LTH was admitted to a hospital in Kien Giang, examined and diagnosed with ovarian tumor. After that, the patient was transferred to Kien Giang Provincial Oncology Hospital for further treatment.

According to family members, about 5-6 months ago, patient H. discovered that his stomach was abnormally large but did not go to the doctor, only using herbal medicine at home. However, his stomach got bigger and bigger, accompanied by constant difficulty breathing, so his family took him to the hospital.

Through examination, the doctor diagnosed a tumor in the lower abdomen about 45x50 cm, occupying the entire abdomen, with unclear boundaries; malignant ovarian tumor and indicated surgery.

On December 18, the patient was successfully operated on by a team of doctors at Kien Giang Provincial Oncology Hospital, removing the ovarian tumor from her body.

Currently, the patient's health is recovering well and continues to be monitored and treated.
