On the morning of May 1, the Organizing Committee of the Bicycle Race "Back to Dien Bien Phu - 2024, People's Army Newspaper Cup" led by Major General Doan Xuan Bo, Editor-in-Chief of People's Army Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Race, offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at House 67 in the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site and the heroic martyrs at Bac Son Monument.
In the cool weather, the delegation slowly walked through the shady grounds towards House 67. The stories about Uncle Ho were told by Ms. Tran Thi Tham, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Education Department (Presidential Palace Relic Site) very movingly. House 67 is where President Ho Chi Minh met with the Politburo and worked during the time when the US imperialists escalated their attacks on the North (1967 - 1969). This is also where President Ho Chi Minh was treated and passed away. Nearly 100 documents and artifacts are being preserved and kept intact, recalling the days when Uncle Ho lived and worked.
Major General Doan Xuan Bo, Editor-in-Chief of the People's Army Newspaper, Head of the Race Organizing Committee, respectfully offered incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh. The delegates expressed their infinite gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh, who devoted his whole life to the cause of national liberation, national reunification, and building a peaceful, independent, and unified socialist Vietnam. The delegation came to offer incense to the ancestors of President Ho Chi Minh at the Presidential Palace Relic Site.
In memory of the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their blood for the independence of the nation, the delegation respectfully offered a wreath with the words "Forever grateful to the heroes and martyrs". In the fragrant smoke of incense, the delegates respectfully commemorated and expressed gratitude to the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their blood for an independent and free life. The delegation prayed that they would witness their sincerity and protect them so that the journey from Hanoi to Dien Bien Phu would be a great success.
