On the evening of November 21, the first concert of the Westlife tour in Vietnam took place at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC). The program attracted about 12,000 spectators.
Nguyen Thai (30 years old, Hanoi) arrived at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCMC) after a flight on the afternoon of November 21. Booking tickets to both nights of Westlife's shows, for her, this was a rare opportunity to regain her youth. "I have listened to Westlife's music since I was 11 years old. Until now, every time their songs come on, I still immerse myself in that melody passionately. Having the opportunity to meet my idol, of course I cannot miss it" - Nguyen Thai emotionally shared.

Along with Nguyen Thai, a series of audiences from many provinces and cities came to Thong Nhat Stadium to listen to the immortal love songs performed by the Irish band. Most of the audience were between the ages of 30 and 50, and there were also many children between the ages of 5 and 12. "My husband and I have been listening to Westlife music since elementary school. Because we couldn't ask relatives to look after our children, we brought our children here today, so they could enjoy the music with their parents," said Nhi Hau (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City).
During the nearly 2-hour show, Westlife brought the audience back to their youth with a series of immortal songs: Season In The Sun, Mandy, Fool Again, My Love... Although past their peak, the group still maintains good singing voices, stylish and handsome appearance. The band members scored points when continuously expressing their feelings to fans.

Specifically, when performing the song Season In The Sun , Westlife members changed the lyrics of a line: "Goodbye Michelle, it's hard to die..." to "Goodbye Vietnam, it's hard to die", with the meaning of not wanting to part with the audience. In the song Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You, member Mark of the band made the atmosphere become more passionate when he said in Vietnamese "I love you". In some other songs, Westlife also changed the lyrics, to be closer to Vietnamese fans.

Although the concert brought many emotions to the audience, there were still some unfortunate negative points that occurred at the concert. Many audiences were upset and demanded a refund right before the show when the technical tent area blocked their view, forcing the organizers to immediately move it. In addition, the fact that the Cat 7 standing ticket area with a price of 600,000 VND had a much better experience than the seats with much higher prices also made the audience upset. It is known that Cat 7 is an additional ticket area that was opened for sale a few days ago, right before the concert took place, causing controversy on many major forums. Some opinions complained that the seats in the stadium were not cleaned, parking was difficult, and there was congestion because the organizers did not contact in advance... In return, the program arranged the ticket control section quite scientifically and conveniently, and the sound quality was guaranteed.
Sharing with Dan Viet after the concert, Ms. Do Thu Giang, representative of the Organizing Committee, said: "Right before the show, the band Westlife suggested setting up a tent in the middle of the field due to the possibility of rain, which could affect their technical equipment. This was not in the original plan, but the Organizing Committee quickly arranged and moved the audience whose view was obstructed to another location.
Westlife also apologized to the audience for this issue and will change the arrangement of the technical tent the following day. Regarding the seats, the staff involved in the program cleaned the areas on the field, however, there was a heavy rain the night before, which affected some locations. In addition, some areas of stands C and D were not used, but the audience flooded over to sit. Therefore, these seats have not been cleaned yet."
Westlife's second concert will take place tonight (November 22). The show is part of the band's The Wild Dreams Tour , which will last from 2022 to 2024 with a total of 91 shows.
