On January 31, 2023, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Decision No. 130/QD-BVHTTDL on recognizing the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation's Steering Committee consisting of 14 members. After more than 11 months of operation, initially mobilizing over 140 organizations and individuals, including businesses and kickboxing organizations from provinces, cities and sectors across the country, voluntarily joined as members - meeting the conditions to establish the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation.
On December 20, 2023, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued Decision No. 1039/QD-BNV on the establishment of the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation. This is considered an important milestone for Vietnamese kickboxing, for those working to develop the movement and achievements of kickboxing nationwide, officially recognizing the activities of kickboxing in Vietnam and aiming to bring Vietnamese kickboxing to the world.

The congress elected an executive committee of 27 members, including Dr. Vu Duc Thinh as President and 7 Vice Presidents. The Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation for the first term is Mr. Duong Ngoc Hai.
Mr. Vu Duc Thinh said that the general goal of the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation in its first term is to mobilize maximum resources from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to promote the movement to develop more and more strongly, improve people's health and life, meet the training and entertainment needs of all classes of people in society; enhance the position and achievements of Vietnamese kickboxing in general in regional, continental and world arenas, contributing to the implementation of political, economic, social, security, defense and foreign affairs tasks of the country.
Former Head Coach of Vietnam Shooting Team Nguyen Thi Nhung, Vice President of Vietnam Kickboxing Federation

Among the key figures of the Executive Committee of the Kickboxing Federation, the presence of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung - former Head of the Shooting Department of the Sports and Physical Training Committee (now the Department of Sports and Physical Training), former Head Coach of the national shooting team, and Chairman of Sen Nam Viet Investment Joint Stock Company (SENAVI) is noteworthy.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung has been elected as Vice President of the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation for the first term. Known as the “steel rose” of Vietnamese sports, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung is the most successful coach, having led and trained shooter Hoang Xuan Vinh to win 1 gold medal and 1 silver medal at the 2016 Olympics.
Sharing at the congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhung said: “I always want to contribute even the smallest to the country's sports. Kickboxing is a sport that has just been introduced to Vietnam but has achieved many achievements and is quite suitable for the physical strength of Vietnamese people.
I hope to contribute with the first executive committee to develop the kickboxing movement nationwide, to improve health, physical strength, self-defense ability and foster martial spirit, self-reliance and self-reliance. In addition, we also want to develop this sport in a professional direction, as the orientation of Vietnamese sports in the coming years."
The congress also proposed five main tasks and solutions, focusing on the following main aspects: organizing and building the federation's operating mechanism; promoting professional work and developing the movement; organizing national and international competitions; training and building human resources...
In its first term, the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation also aims to promote social activities to attract more social resources. Elected to the position of Vice President in charge of finance, Ms. Le Thi Nga - General Director of See Deltal Investment Joint Stock Company shared: "With the trust of the congress, I hope I will contribute to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Kickboxing Federation to promote more resources from socialization. We will also innovate the activities of the Federation, in a professional, modern direction and create an image for this potential sport to build a strong kickboxing movement".
