Innovation in information and propaganda work on Party building
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Phan Thang An said that the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system is facing new and higher requirements, requiring good implementation of the key tasks and solutions set forth by the 13th National Congress and the Central Party Committee Conferences.
In the context of the complicated and unpredictable developments in the world and the region, with many difficulties and challenges, the task is to protect the Party's ideological foundation, fight and refute the distorted arguments of hostile forces; strengthen the people's trust and attachment to the Party, the State and the socialist regime; actively fight against individualism, prevent and combat corruption and negativity, and prevent, repel and strictly handle cadres and Party members who have degraded in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle, and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation"; promote the implementation of resolutions and conclusions of the 4th Central Conference (term XI, XII, XIII) on Party building and rectification, the political system, in conjunction with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and lifestyle; promote cultural values and the strength of the Vietnamese people in the cause of national construction and defense and international integration; Arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country... is a very necessary requirement.
Through the training conference on Party building, the Organizing Committee hopes that journalists will have more knowledge and information to improve the quality of writing press works on Party building; encourage timely propaganda of results, try to remove difficulties and obstacles of localities and units to continue to arrange the organization of the political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient. At the same time, build a team of cadres who are both virtuous and talented, equal to the requirements of the tasks in the new situation; build the Party in terms of ethics; fight corruption, waste, negativity, and the pursuit of positions and power; prepare for Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party according to Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo; strengthen the building of a clean and strong Party and political system.

Sharing the topic "Protecting the Party's ideological foundation, fighting to remove bad and toxic information on cyberspace", Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Lam said: Protecting the Party's ideological foundation, protecting the cultural values of the country and the nation, the main and most difficult front is now on cyberspace. The Internet is the main battlefield of ideological propaganda work today. We need to occupy this battlefield and unite people on the Internet environment...
Deputy Minister Nguyen Thanh Lam said that cross-border platforms are the places that spread the most fake news and malicious information against the Party and the State. To manage cyberspace well, we must fight to force cross-border platforms to comply with Vietnamese law.
The Ministry of Information and Communications has synchronously deployed legal, media, economic, and technical solutions to combat the problem, with many new approaches.
In 2024, the Ministry of Information and Communications will continue to advise on the Decree replacing Decree 72/2013/ND-CP on Internet and online information management (to be issued by the Government soon); maintain a high rate of blocking and removing bad and toxic content on cross-border platforms; continue to fight to remove many violating accounts, pages, channels, and groups; rectify, punish, and force cross-border platforms to correct violations and strictly comply with Vietnamese law, while researching to continue to inspect and handle other cross-border platforms; adjust the advertising revenue flow to press agencies and clean channels and pages; coordinate with the community of online content creators and influencers in cyberspace to deploy a communication campaign on preventing fake news...
At the conference, delegates listened to and discussed the following topics: New contents on Party building and political system building in the resolutions of the 13th Central Conference; some issues on creating journalistic works in the political genre; skills in creating radio and television works; introducing the theme of creating journalistic works on Party building and the political system; new models, creative and effective ways in Party building; skills in creating journalistic photos, sharing experiences in creating works of authors and groups of authors who won high prizes at the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award.
