The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has received a report from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music about the incident in which Meritorious Artist MH threw a phone at Luu Thien Huong.
According to a report from the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, on January 10, at Concert Hall B, the Faculty of Jazz-Pop-Rock and Music Technology held a semester exam for students.
During the professional exam, there was a conflict and dispute over the scoring between lecturer Luu Thien Huong (musician, guest lecturer) and lecturer Vo Thi Minh Huyen (tenured lecturer).
After the incident, Acting Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, Hoang Ngoc Long, received a lawsuit and a video of the incident via social network Zalo from lecturer Luu Thien Huong. Accordingly, the female musician sued lecturer Vo Thi Minh Huyen - Faculty of Jazz-Pop-Rock and Music Technology for violating ethics and insulting colleagues.
The school's leaders said that at this time the school is organizing exams, and it is the end of the year, so all departments are busy. However, realizing the importance of the matter, at 3:00 p.m. on January 12, the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music held a meeting with the participation of relevant members: Party Committee; Board of Directors; Head of Jazz-Pop-Rock and Music Technology Department; Head of the People's Inspectorate; Department of Training, Science Management and International Cooperation, Department of Administration - Synthesis; Department of Personnel Organization, Department of Student Affairs.
“After discussing and reviewing the matter, the Council found that lecturer Minh Huyen, in a moment of anger, could not control her behavior, and had an attitude and actions that did not meet the standards of a lecturer.
The Council unanimously decided to impose a disciplinary measure of reprimand on lecturer Vo Thi Minh Huyen, and requested that lecturer Vo Thi Minh Huyen apologize to lecturer Luu Thien Huong at the upcoming conciliation meeting of the Conservatory of Music, and handle the matter in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Conduct of the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music," Dr. Hoang Ngoc Long reported.
It is known that today (January 15), the Conservatory will invite lecturer Minh Huyen and musician Luu Thien Huong to work together more specifically and clearly.
