Upon hearing the news of the terrorist attack that occurred during a concert at the Crocus City Hall Shopping Center in Moscow, Russia on March 22, 2024, which killed many people and injured many others, on March 25, 2024, Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung sent a message of condolences to Russian Minister of Culture OBLiubimova.
Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong held a minute of silence for the victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall Shopping Center, Moscow, Russian Federation.
On behalf of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and on his own behalf, Minister Nguyen Van Hung sent his condolences to the Russian friends and the families of the victims. Minister Nguyen Van Hung also expressed his belief that with the will and strength of the Russian people, Russia will soon overcome this painful loss and unite together for stable development.
On the same day, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong led a delegation from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam to the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Hanoi to pay their respects and sign the condolence book for the victims of the terrorist attack. Also attending was Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hoa, Director of the Department of International Cooperation.
Moved while writing in the condolence book, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong expressed his wish that all families of the deceased would soon overcome this great loss, and believed that with the tradition of solidarity, the Russian Federation would soon stabilize and continue to develop.
Sharing with Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Bezdetko, Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong expressed his deepest condolences to the Russian people and the families of the victims, and condemned terrorist acts, especially acts of terrorism targeting cultural and artistic events serving the public.

Touched by the warm sentiments of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Bezdetko expressed his deep gratitude to the leaders and staff of the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Ambassador Gennady Bezdetko said that the condolences of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism are a great encouragement to the families of the victims and the Russian people in the current situation.
According to the latest data from Russian authorities, the terrorist attack on March 22 left 137 victims dead and 182 others injured; the death toll is likely to rise. Eleven suspects related to the terrorist attack have been arrested, including four who directly committed the murder./.
