Naval Region 2 Command organizes Tet gifts delivery to DK1 platform and forces on duty at sea

(CLO) On January 1, at Port of Naval Division 129 (Ba Ria - Vung Tau), the Naval Region 2 Command held a farewell ceremony for two working delegations visiting and wishing a happy new year to officers and soldiers of DK1 platform, on-duty ships and civil and party agencies of Con Dao district on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025.

The Naval Region 2 delegation includes 2 groups (Truong Sa 02 and Truong Sa 21 ships) and 47 delegates who are reporters working at central and local press agencies.

Colonel Tran Manh Chien, Political Commissar of Naval Region 2, shared that every time Tet comes, ships of Region 2 bring goods, necessities, Tet gifts and simple gifts from the mainland with all the affection and trust to the soldiers on the front lines of the Fatherland.

That is the concern of the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense and the people of the whole country, our overseas Vietnamese for the sea and islands in general and the soldiers of the DK1 Platform in particular. This has helped the soldiers on the front line to be motivated, overcome all challenges, persevere, and successfully complete the task of protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

During the working trip, delegations No. 1 and No. 2 carried more than 1,000 packages of Lunar New Year gifts, sent by 28 agencies, organizations and individuals to officers and soldiers on duty at DK1 platform, Station 590. The total value of all gifts was more than 2 billion VND.

On this occasion, Colonel Tran Manh Chien wished the two working groups a safe and smooth journey, and emphasized: "The weather conditions at the end of the year are big waves and rough seas, this special voyage will encounter many difficulties and hardships, but with the tradition of solidarity and overcoming difficulties, I believe that the members will overcome the waves and bring Tet gifts to the officers and soldiers of the DK1 platform."
