On July 18, within the framework of his official visit to Singapore, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son met with Singapore's Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean.
At the meeting, Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean welcomed Minister Bui Thanh Son's first official visit to Singapore.
Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean expressed his delight at the increasingly deep and extensive development of the Vietnam-Singapore strategic partnership in all areas, especially economics, trade, investment, defense - security, education - training, culture and people-to-people exchange; said that he still retains good memories of previous visits to Vietnam and wishes to visit Vietnam again soon in the near future.

Minister Bui Thanh Son expressed his pleasure to visit Singapore on the occasion of the two countries celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Strategic Partnership; thanked the Senior Minister for his good feelings and active contributions in promoting the Vietnam-Singapore relationship.
