Dear comrades and colleagues,
In the atmosphere of the revolutionary autumn, the Diplomatic sector is striving to compete to celebrate the 78th anniversary of its tradition (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2023). On this occasion, I would like to send my warmest and best wishes to all cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Diplomatic sector through the periods and local foreign affairs agencies.
Under the wise leadership of the Party, with the attention, guidance and training of President Ho Chi Minh and other Party and State leaders through the periods, Vietnam's revolutionary diplomacy has achieved great achievements, making important contributions to the cause of national liberation, national defense, construction, innovation and development. Throughout the past 78 years, no matter how difficult or challenging, the diplomatic sector has always maintained its revolutionary spirit, loyalty, service to the Party, the Fatherland and the People, and persistently devoted all its efforts to the glorious revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.
Since the 13th National Party Congress, under the leadership of the Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat and Party and State leaders, and with the close coordination and cooperation of all sectors and levels, the Diplomatic sector has synchronously, creatively and effectively implemented the Party's foreign policy, making important contributions to firmly consolidating a favorable foreign situation to maintain a peaceful and stable environment, protecting the Fatherland "early and from afar", mobilizing many external resources to promote socio-economic recovery and development, continuing to enhance the country's international position and prestige. Building and developing the Diplomatic sector in a professional, comprehensive and modern direction has been promoted and achieved many advances. The contingent of diplomatic staff with increasingly high mettle, qualities and capacities, with aspirations to contribute to the sector and the country.
Looking back over the past 78 years, generations of diplomatic staff are infinitely grateful to the great President Ho Chi Minh, the founder and bequeather to Vietnamese diplomacy a unique and invaluable legacy of ideology, style and diplomatic art. Today's generation of diplomatic staff expresses deep gratitude to the revolutionary predecessors and diplomatic staff through the ages who have worked hard to build and nurture the glorious tradition of the diplomatic sector.

Together with the country, the Diplomatic sector has entered a new stage of development with a new mindset, new opportunities, but also many difficulties and challenges, requiring strong innovation in thinking and action, synchronous and effective implementation of foreign affairs tasks and building and developing the Diplomatic sector. Creatively applying Ho Chi Minh's diplomatic ideology, inheriting, preserving and promoting the glorious tradition of 78 years of construction and growth, all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Diplomatic sector maintain solidarity, constantly strive, practice revolutionary qualities and ethics, improve capacity and qualifications, and strive to build a truly clean, strong, comprehensive and modern Diplomatic sector. We have a firm belief that, with its rich tradition and forged mettle, overcoming countless challenges over the past 78 years, the Diplomatic sector will continue to make important contributions to building a strong and prosperous country, worthy of the trust of the Party, State and People.
I wish you and your family good health and happiness. I hope you will maintain your patriotism, love for your industry and profession, have a bright mind and perseverance, and together achieve many new victories on the glorious foreign affairs front.
