Abolishing paper household registration books, what documents do people need to buy/sell real estate instead?

From 2023, people buying and selling land do not need to bring their household registration book, but can bring a copy or present one of the valuable documents proving their residence information.

From January 1, 2023, Decree 104/2022/ND-CP will come into effect. Decree 104/2022/ND-CP stipulates the abolition of paper household registration books from 2023. When the paper household registration book is terminated, people can use one of the following documents when carrying out administrative procedures related to land, taxes, housing, and social housing:

- Citizen Identification Card

- Identity card

- Certificate of residence information

- Notice of personal identification number and citizen information in the National Population Database./.
