Previously, the Ministry of Education and Training received a report from Hue University on the results of handling the complaint of Mr. NTAP (residing in Hue city); at the same time, it recommended that the Ministry establish a council to evaluate the content of Dr. LTAH's thesis.
After reviewing the conclusion of the complaint of the Director of Hue University, the Ministry of Education and Training requested the school to re-evaluate the content of Ms. LTAH's thesis, thereby determining the form of discipline for this doctor.
"In case the thesis no longer meets the requirements of a doctoral thesis, Hue University needs to consider the responsibility of the council that approved Ms. LTAH's thesis," the document stated.
The Ministry of Education and Training requests Hue University to implement the above directive and report back to the competent authority before January 31, 2025.
According to Dan Tri reporter 's investigation, in mid-July, Hue University received a petition from Mr. NTAP, denouncing the doctoral thesis of Ms. LTAH, working at the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, for plagiarism and misuse of historical materials.
The accused thesis is titled History of Vietnam: The process of formation, development and transformation of royal festivals in Hue from 1802 to 1945 , defended at the Doctoral Thesis Defense Council of Hue University on March 23, 2018.
During the verification process, Hue University concluded that Mr. P.'s complaint was true. The content of Ms. H.'s doctoral thesis contained many passages, ideas, and paragraphs that were similar to the published works of other authors, but the author did not cite the source.
Accordingly, the plagiarism error in Ms. H's thesis was determined to be 12 pages. The author also made mistakes in historical data.
