On October 18, the Ministry of Education and Training said it had sent an official dispatch to the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information (Ministry of Information and Communications) regarding the recent spread of information on many social networking sites about some content that is said to be language in current general education textbooks such as: Pounding rice to cook rice, Brave An, Splashing, Baby carrying mother, Drawing what is difficult... That led to many negative comments about textbooks, textbook writers and the education sector.
The Ministry of Education and Training affirms that the above content is not included in any current textbooks being used in schools.
Therefore, the Office of the Ministry of Education and Training requests the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information to support the verification and checking of the origin of the above information; have solutions to prevent the spread of false information; strictly handle organizations and individuals who post and comment distorting and untrue information, causing public confusion and affecting the reputation of the education sector.
