The Provincial Military Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 15 collectives and individuals with achievements in implementing Resolution 689-NQ/QUTW

On the afternoon of June 26, the Provincial Military Party Committee held a Conference to issue a Resolution on leadership in the implementation of military and defense tasks and Party building in the last 6 months of 2024; summarizing 10 years of implementing Resolution 689-NQ/QUTW dated October 10, 2014 of the Central Military Commission on disaster prevention, response, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, search and rescue until 2020 and the following years. Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ngan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Military Party Committee chaired the conference.

Attending and directing the conference were Major General Tran Anh Du, Deputy Commander of Military Region 2 and comrade Hoang Giang, Deputy Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee.

The draft Resolution on leadership in the implementation of military and defense tasks and Party building in the last 6 months of 2024 and the opinions presented at the conference affirmed: In the first 6 months of the year, the Provincial Military Party Committee has closely followed the resolutions of Party committees at all levels, advised the Party Committee of Military Region 2 Command, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee on military and defense work, notably proactively forecasting, grasping the political security situation, promptly and effectively handling situations and not being passive or surprised; promoting the core role in building the all-people national defense associated with the people's security posture; proactively promoting resources to build increasingly solid potentials and postures in the defense area. Leading the synchronous and effective implementation of solutions to build a strong and comprehensive political unit. Closely coordinating with the police and border guards to maintain political security on the border line. Participation in forest fire fighting at Hoang Lien National Park was highly appreciated by the Party Committee, the Government and the People. Training was organized for the subjects in accordance with regulations; the combat readiness of the provincial armed forces, the quality of competitions and sports were improved. There were many solutions in building a strong Party organization in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, organization and cadres; the cadres had high responsibility in performing their tasks. The work of inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline, the fight against corruption and negativity was carried out seriously.

The Lao Cai Provincial Military Party Committee has identified 10 important tasks and solutions to lead the implementation of military and defense tasks in the last 6 months of 2024.

Delegates also highly agreed with the report summarizing 10 years of implementing Resolution 689 of the Central Military Commission on preventing, combating, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, rescue and relief until 2020 and the following years, and at the same time identifying important groups of solutions such as investing in additional equipment and means for performing the tasks of overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, rescue and relief; promptly promoting the role of forces implementing "4 on-the-spot" in the coming time.

Speaking at the conference, Major General Tran Anh Du highly appreciated the leadership and direction of the Provincial Military Party Committee in the first 6 months of the year. In the last 6 months of the year, the Deputy Commander of Military Region 2 requested the Provincial Military Party Committee to focus on coordinating with the forces to effectively implement Decree 03/2019/ND-CP on coordination between the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense in performing the tasks of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, fighting against crime and national defense tasks; improving the quality of training for subjects; building a comprehensively strong "Exemplary Model" unit; improving the quality of implementing the Grassroots Democracy Regulations; effectively implementing "4 on-site" in implementing Resolution 689 of the Central Military Commission; ensuring safety for the unit.

On this occasion, the Provincial Military Command awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 10 individuals with achievements in implementing Resolution 689 of the Central Military Commission.
