BIM Land and IHG: Sweet fruits after a decade of developing world-class resorts

Over a decade of working together, BIM Land and InterContinental Hotels & Resorts (IHG) have created iconic international-class projects, contributing to changing the local landscape and affirming Vietnam's position on the global luxury tourism map.

Strategy with international partners

After 30 years of development, BIM Real Estate Joint Stock Company - BIM Land (a member of BIM Group) currently owns a land fund of more than 7.2 million m2 in Quang Ninh, Phu Quoc, Vinh Phuc, Hanoi, Ninh Thuan, Laos, and continues to expand to other cities and potential tourist destinations. BIM Land's strategy is sustainable development according to the highest international standards.

BIM Land has cooperated with the world's leading partners to invest in the construction of a series of hotel and resort projects with international brands such as: Fraser Suites Hanoi, Crowne Plaza Vientiane, InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort, Regent Phu Quoc, Sailing Club Signature Resort Phu Quoc, Citadines Marina Halong... The success of these projects demonstrates BIM Land's capacity and extensive experience in international cooperation throughout the project development stages from design - construction - operation, meeting the strict requirements of global brands.

Consistent with its international cooperation strategy, BIM Land has turned unexplored lands in Ha Long, Phu Quoc... into large-scale urban bays and resort complexes, rich in experiences, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

IHG Group is one of BIM Land's first international partners in the hotel management field. To date, the number of hotels and resorts cooperating with IHG has accounted for more than 50% of BIM Land's investment portfolio in Vietnam and Laos.

In Laos, BIM Land is working with IHG Group to develop the Royal Square luxury hotel and office complex project with two valuable pieces: Crowne Plaza Vientiane - the first 5-star hotel in Laos and Holiday Inn Vientiane - the hotel is expected to open in 2024.

The hallmark of the partnership between BIM Land and IHG is the duo of the most famous resorts on Phu Quoc Island: InterContinental Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort (opened in 2018) and Regent Phu Quoc - the first resort in Southeast Asia of the Regent Hotels & Resorts brand (opened in 2022). These two resorts have been honored in international rankings and awards such as World Travel Awards, Travel + Leisure and Michelin Guide.

Considered as two diamonds in BIM Land's precious collection, InterContinental Phu Quoc and Regent Phu Quoc have been honored to receive a series of prestigious regional and global tourism awards.

BIM Land's resorts also attract attention from the group of tourists from the IHG One Rewards loyalty program with a scale of 100 million users, accounting for a large proportion of the total revenue of these hotels and resorts: 33% for Crowne Plaza Vientiane, 41% for InterContinental Phu Quoc, 63% for Regent Phu Quoc.

New milestone in the partnership between BIM Land and IHG

Expected to be operational by the end of this year, InterContinental Halong Bay Resort & Residences is the first and only coastal resort in the North to carry the InterContinental brand. The appearance of this resort will bring a completely new positioning and affirm the position of the heritage city of Ha Long on the global luxury tourism map.

Just 02 hours drive from Hanoi, the resort includes 174 luxurious rooms and suites, along with 60 high-class resort apartments and 41 luxury villas. The resort has a direct view of the heritage bay, stretching along the coastline of more than 580m, giving visitors a breathtaking panoramic view, capturing the majestic and magnificent scenery of nature. Recently, IHG Group announced the appointment of Mr. Jesper Larsen as General Manager of the resort to prepare for the launch of this project in 2024. With more than 20 years of extensive experience in the hotel service industry, having held many positions in many international markets, Mr. Jesper and his team of experts from IHG promise to bring sophisticated accommodation and culinary experiences with the legendary "Live the InterContinental Life" service philosophy.
