Commending typical collectives and individuals in the movement of All people protecting national security

In his opening speech, Major General Vu Xuan Vien - Director of Da Nang City Police said: "Over the past 5 years, thanks to the drastic participation of the entire political system, under the close, timely and regular direction of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the City People's Committee; the joint efforts and contributions of agencies, departments, political and social organizations; the active coordination between the police force and member organizations of the Fatherland Front in general, all levels of the Association, cadres and farmer members in particular in building the movement of All people protecting national security, the city's socio-economic situation has been basically maintained and developed.

Along with that, security, order and social safety are ensured; administrative reform and state management in all fields are well implemented; emulation movements associated with the movement of All people protecting national security are highly effective, having a strong influence in the community.

Every year, the City Farmers' Association includes in the Resolution of the Executive Committee the content of implementing the work of building the movement of All people protecting national security; registering emulation covenants and signing commitments between departments and offices on building an agency that meets the standards of "Safety in security and order".

Directing the bases, branches, and associations to coordinate with the police force and the same-level mass organizations to launch the movement "All people protect national security", build movement models in the residential community; effectively implement the "4-safe city" program, Directive No. 43-CT/TU dated December 25, 2014 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on strengthening the leadership and direction of implementing the "Year of urban culture and civilization".

In recent times, the Farmers' Association of Da Nang City has closely coordinated in propaganda work, mobilizing members and people to participate in the movement of All people protecting national security. Thereby, it has organized 25 training conferences on propaganda skills on drug and crime prevention for 1,250 Association officials; 125 propaganda points on crime prevention and drug prevention for over 8,000 officials and members.

The Association at all levels coordinated to organize 1,699 training sessions on crime prevention, drug prevention, traffic safety and social evils for 103,632 officials and farmer members; to educate and reform 232 subjects; to detect and prevent 410 crimes; and to coordinate to resolve 549 conflicts and disputes at the grassroots level.

Through activities, the Association at all levels has coordinated to build and replicate many effective models with rich and diverse content and forms of activities such as: the model "Son Tra District cadres and farmer members say no to gambling and lottery"; "Good father of children" club in Hoa Nhon commune (Hoa Vang district) and Xuan Ha ward (Thanh Khe district); "Farmers with the law" club at 42 Association bases; the model "Association branch without addicts and law violators" in Thanh Binh ward (Hai Chau district)....

Notable is the model of "Building a Drug Prevention and Control Association" in Hoa Phat ward (Cam Le district) established by the City Farmers' Association and issuing operating regulations, which has received the education and reformation of many bad youth at the grassroots level, helped relocate households when natural disasters and floods occurred, introduced jobs to poor farmer members; the model of "Self-managed fishing households" in Son Tra district contributed to protecting social order in the coastal border area and supporting each other when fishing far from shore.

Attending the Conference, delegates discussed and shared experiences in overcoming shortcomings and limitations, and proposed solutions to improve the effectiveness of coordination in building the movement of All People Protecting National Security in the city in the coming time.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Thiet - Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Da Nang City said: "In the coming time, the Farmers' Association at all levels and the Da Nang City Police will continue to promote propaganda, innovate content, forms, and measures to build the movement of All people protecting national security to ensure practicality, effectiveness, and suitability with the conditions, situation, and requirements of the task of protecting security and order."

At the Conference, 6 collectives and 24 individuals were recognized for their achievements in implementing the movement of All People Protecting National Security in the period of 2019-2024. In particular, the Director of Da Nang City Police awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 collectives (Cam Le District Farmers' Association, Hoa Vang District Farmers' Association) and 8 outstanding individuals of Farmers' Associations at all levels in the city.
