On July 18, the Forest Protection Department of Que Phong District, Nghe An Province, announced that it had coordinated with relevant agencies to release a monkey back into the forest. The area where the monkey was released into the wild was at the nature reserve between Hanh Dich and Nam Giai communes, Que Phong District, Nghe An Province.

Previously, the Forest Protection Department of Que Phong District, Nghe An received a monkey from the family of Mr. LVTr (residing in Kim Son Town, Que Phong District). Mr. Tr said that the monkey was bought from a local person who sold it to him to raise. Because the family did not know the legal regulations, they bought it to raise.

After being explained by the authorities, the family voluntarily agreed to hand over the monkey to the Que Phong District Forest Protection Department for release back into the forest.
Upon receiving the monkey, through examination, its health condition was found to be normal. This monkey weighed more than 6kg. This monkey belongs to group IIB in the list of endangered and rare forest animals.

The monkeys were released into their natural habitat, suitable to the species' habitat, contributing to the protection of this rare animal species.
