On the afternoon of September 16, at the Great Poet Nguyen Du Relic Site (in Tien Dien town, Nghi Xuan district), a book offering ceremony took place, "Who is still crying for To Nhu" by writer Vo Ba Cuong.

In front of the tomb of the great poet Nguyen Du, writer Vo Ba Cuong presented the novel “Who is still crying for To Nhu”, expressing his wishes before its release to the public. The novel is scheduled to be published at the end of September 2022.

The work "Who is still crying for To Nhu" consists of 2 parts and 16 chapters, depicting the portrait of the great poet Nguyen Du during the period when he came to Thai Binh to get married and temporarily resided there.

At that time, the country had just ended the Trinh - Nguyen conflict when a fierce war broke out between the Tay Son and Gia Long dynasties.

The novel “Who is still crying for To Nhu” belongs to the genre of memoir mixed with essays, with a free and generous writing style. The language is carefully measured and selected in terms of the style, character, and virtue of the person, and then proceeds to discuss the ideology and spirit of the scholar in the face of current events.

Writer Vo Ba Cuong was born in 1940 in Thai Binh City. Before becoming a professional writer, he worked many jobs - from bus conductor to geologist; his life went through many ups and downs.

Later, he went to study pedagogy, and in 1957 he went to the island to teach and write for newspapers. In 1967, he worked at the Propaganda Department of the Cam Pha District Party Committee (now Van Don, Quang Ninh Province). In 1971, he worked at the Thai Binh Literature and Arts Association and retired in 1997.

He has many works that left an impression on readers such as the novels: "In the village of many stories", "Turning face", "The person who wakes up the fields", "The Western general", "The wind of Thuong Phung"...
