The Provincial Party Secretary was pleased to know that India is currently one of Vietnam's 7 strategic partners; one of Vietnam's 8 largest trading partners. Currently, India has invested more than 1 billion USD in Vietnam, with more than 300 projects in key industries such as manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, etc. The cooperative relationship between Vietnam and India has grown strongly and is getting better and better over the years.

On the occasion of receiving the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Vietnam, Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung introduced the potentials, strengths, and glorious historical traditions of Thanh Hoa province and said: In 2023, Thanh Hoa province's import-export activities with India reached nearly 25 million USD and in the first 3 months of the year reached nearly 4 million USD, mainly textiles, footwear, forestry products... There are also many Thanh Hoa people studying Yoga taught by Indian teachers.
Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung also respectfully thanked the ambassador for giving Thanh Hoa province scholarships to improve qualifications and sponsoring school projects.
Provincial Party Secretary Do Trong Hung emphasized: During the development period, Thanh Hoa always considers India a great friend and hopes that in the coming time, the Ambassador will continue to be a bridge to connect Indian organizations and enterprises to explore investment cooperation opportunities with Thanh Hoa province, especially in areas where both sides have strengths, such as: pharmaceuticals, forestry, tourism, manufacturing, semiconductor industry, software, agricultural and forestry products...; building an India - Vietnam cultural exchange center in Thanh Hoa.

In 2024, Thanh Hoa will have a high-level delegation visiting and working in India, led by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Minh Tuan.
