On the afternoon of October 19, Comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and Comrade Phan Van Mai, Party Central Committee member, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee received a working delegation from Xaysomboun province (Laos) led by Comrade Phoykham Houngbounyuang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Governor of Xaysomboun province.
Appreciating the visit and work of the delegation of Xaysomboun province, which took place after the Vietnam - Laos - Cambodia summit last September, comrade Nguyen Van Nen said that this working trip is even more meaningful in the context that the two Parties and two countries are working together to overcome many difficulties due to the impact of the world political and economic situation; focusing on effectively implementing the socio-economic recovery and development plan of each country after the Covid-19 pandemic and have achieved many outstanding achievements.

The Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee said that the city's leaders have always closely followed and are pleased with the results of Party building work and efforts to overcome difficulties in economic development in Laos recently. Ho Chi Minh City believes that under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people will achieve even greater results in the cause of national construction and defense, and socio-economic development.

Affirming that Vietnam and Laos are two neighboring countries with a tradition of solidarity and mutual love, comrade Nguyen Van Nen believes that the visit and work of the delegation of Xaysomboun province will contribute to consolidating and further strengthening the great friendship and special solidarity between the two countries in general and the localities of the two countries in particular. Ho Chi Minh City is always committed to working with the whole country to continue promoting the tradition, great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam - Laos, Laos - Vietnam, striving to create a strong change in cooperation, especially economic cooperation with localities of Laos.
Thanking the leaders of the Party and the Ho Chi Minh City government for their warm welcome to the delegation, comrade Phoykham Houngbounyuang said that the Lao Party, State and people always appreciate the affection, care and support that the Party, State and people of Vietnam have given to Laos in any circumstances.

Appreciating the development of Ho Chi Minh City - the economic and social locomotive of Vietnam, the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Xaysomboun province hopes to further strengthen cooperation in many fields between Xaysomboun province and Ho Chi Minh City in the coming time.
