When discovered "fabricating" and "fabricating" the amount of money donated to flood victims, some people apologized, while others chose to remain silent as a way to avoid public opinion.

After the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front publicly released the statement, many celebrities and TikTokers were discovered to have falsified the amount of donations to "show off" and attract views and likes.

The person who apologized for the "canvas" of charity money

Singer Yen Tattoo once posted a screenshot of a transaction with a donation amount of up to hundreds of millions of dong.

However, in the list of donations on September 11, there was only the content " Yen tattoo would like to share with the people in the flood area". sent from an account with the amount of 500,000 VND. Then, this account owner sent another 5 million VND with similar content.

Yen Tattoo admitted to faking photos of money transfers to support flood victims.

This incident caused a stir in public opinion. In response to mixed opinions, Yen Tatoo apologized and admitted to having “faked the screen”.

“First of all, Yen bows her head and apologizes for causing everyone to suffer because of her bad things in the past few days. I also know that no matter what I say, those who hate her will hate her even more, but please allow Yen to share so that her relatives and friends can understand the whole situation.

I have made a total of 3 transfers to the Vietnam Fatherland Front. My monthly fixed spending account initially had just over 8 million VND. At 13:23 on September 11, I wanted to donate 5 million VND but mistakenly transferred 500,000 VND. After that, I transferred 5 million VND again ,” Yen Tatoo explained.

The singer said she asked her assistant to advance money for the November shows to have more money to support the needy. After receiving the advance money, Yen Tatoo transferred an additional amount of 20 million VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front on September 13.

In addition, she also sent additional donations to various relief groups so that they could go directly to the affected areas and help people. The total amount was nearly 40 million VND.

She admitted her mistake was ''faking the screen'' with the aim of making those who paid money believe that she supported: "I covered the first number and the number written on the story is not 500 million VND as what the pages are competing to share. That is completely exaggerated by the poster.

Yen also never intended to accept that she donated that much money. Yen apologizes for what she did wrong, and hopes everyone will understand her feelings. This is also a big lesson for Yen to learn from,” she said

Before Yen Tattoo, many TikTokers and KOLs were discovered to have "fabricated" the amount of money donated to flood victims. Among them was TikToker Viet Anh Pi Po (real name: Phung Viet Anh), who made netizens admire when he showed off a photo of a large sum of money transferred to flood victims. However, when announcing the donation statement, the amount he donated was only 1 million VND, far from the "huge" number he posted before.

Viet Anh's "cover-up" action during the difficult time of his compatriots has made public opinion very indignant. Although donations, small or large, are valuable, deliberately distorting information to promote oneself is unacceptable.

Vietnamese TikToker Anh Pi Po apologizes for "smuggling" donations.

In response to the controversy, Viet Anh Pi Po posted a clip on TikTok to respond to the incident. He apologized for "covering up" the donation amount. "I apologize to everyone for the "covering up". The images and information that everyone received are real. And the fact that I "covered up" is also real." Viet Anh said.

The male TikToker also explained that on the morning of September 10, his group planned to transfer 20 million VND in donations. At that time, he asked a friend in the group to make the money transfer but did not check it again because he trusted him. The account owner Viet Anh Pi Po admitted that because he wanted to show off, he "loosely covered up" the amount of money and posted it on social media.

"Because of my own thoughtlessness and incompetence, I edited and shared it on social media with incorrect balances. My actions are condemnable and wrong," Viet Anh said.

Viet Anh said that he later transferred 20 million VND back to the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - Central Relief Committee. At the same time, the TikToker considered this a lesson for himself. He apologized and said he would review himself after this scandal.

The "hermit" avoids public opinion

Former athlete and TikToker Louis Pham (real name Pham Nhu Phuong) was also called out because the public discovered that the amount of money she donated to flood victims was 500,000 VND and 1 million VND respectively. However, the image she shared on her personal page was very different. She used 8 leaf icons to cover the number 0, and the number 5 was slightly visible at the beginning of the row. Many people think she donated about 500 million VND.

Louis Pham has received a lot of criticism from the online community. She has continuously posted 2 corrections on both her story and TikTok channel. She explained that someone had the same name or intentionally transferred the same content to bring her down, but the online community all thought that this former athlete was making excuses.

TikToker Louis Pham remains silent after being accused of "pretending".

After that, Louis Pham suddenly deleted all posts related to explaining her charity money on Instagram and TikTok. She only kept 2 stories that transferred charity money to organizations.

Currently, Louis Pham is still keeping silent about this noise. She also took action when locking the protection of her personal Facebook page amid criticism from the online community.

TikToker Dao Le Nyk locked her personal page to overcome the "storm" of public opinion.

TikToker Dao Le Nyk (real name Dao Le Trung) - has 840k followers and nearly 45 million followers. He once posted pictures to support flood victims with millions of dong.

TikToker Dao Le Nyk was also accused of fraud compared to the actual amount of donations.

However, recently, netizens have found a transaction with content matching Dao Le Nyk's share sent on September 10 but the amount was only 100,000 VND. Criticized by the online community for his fraudulent actions, this person has locked his personal page and has not shared anything about this noise.

Fraudulent and fraudulent charitable gain is a violation of public trust.

Associate Professor Dr. Bui Hoai Son, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, shared with VTC News that some individuals, even influential people (KOLs), take advantage of charity activities to promote their names, which is a very condemnable act. This not only damages public trust in charity activities, but also undermines the inherent humanistic value of charity.

These incidents have serious consequences by raising skepticism and distrust of people who are truly good-hearted, blurring the line between genuine charity and activities that exploit the name of charity for personal gain.

Mr. Bui Hoai Son said: "When these individuals are discovered to have lied in their statements, not only they but also other organizations and individuals doing charity work are affected, causing a domino effect of distrust, greatly reducing future support from the community, making it difficult for those who really need help."

Mr. Bui Hoai Son further analyzed: "I think that those who are dishonest in charity activities will have to bear both social and legal consequences.

Socially, they will be criticized by the public, lose the trust of fans and the community. Their reputation may be damaged, leading to difficulties in their business activities, career or future projects.

In serious cases, they may also face legal action if their actions violate laws relating to charitable financial management, such as fraud, misuse of funds, or lack of transparency in financial statements."
