Actress Hoang Yen received mixed opinions when sharing pictures of her hair being shaved and becoming a nun. Some viewers thought that the actress was just showing off and polishing her name. " If you become a nun, why don't you just keep quiet and keep posting pictures on Facebook?", "If you become a nun, why are you still showing off and polishing your name?", "If you become a nun, why don't you calm down and keep posting pictures and videos online"...
Actress Hoang Yen shaved her head and became a nun.
In response to these comments, Hoang Yen recently spoke up to clarify. She said that this was just a short-term retreat, lasting 8 days. But now she has returned to normal life: "Everyone misunderstood. Currently, Hoang Yen is a normal person, not a nun like when she was in India."
"This is a short-term retreat. I was so moved because it was a big ceremony and I myself had made a wish to become a monk a month before going to India. I only participated in keeping the precepts for 8 days in India.
"Out of the 50 people in the Sangha who came with me, more than 30 people, like me, also asked to become monks to cultivate karma. Before returning to Vietnam, I also asked the monk to release the precepts and return to Vietnam as ordinary people," Ms. Xuyen Ve Nha Di Con added.
Hoang Yen denied rumors that she cut her hair because she was disappointed in love after 4 failed relationships. She affirmed that she did not retire from acting and will continue to act in films in the future.
"I share clips or pictures in India because I want to share my wonderful feelings, the benefits of being in the homeland of Buddha, being a nun, keeping the precepts for 8 days and how happy I am. Not because I am currently a nun and want to brag.
I have returned to normal life and continue to act in movies. I continue to livestream to sell products and chat with my sisters. Because I still have to raise my mother and children, I am not blessed enough to become a monk. Who knows, maybe at the end of my life I will be blessed enough to become a monk, which is also lucky," Hoang Yen shared.
Hoang Yen said she has now returned to normal life.
She emphasized that she shaved her head and practiced for a while because she wanted to show her gratitude to her parents: " If the audience saw me shave my head and cried for me, I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and affection. As for those who do not understand me and have bad words, I will not hold it against them."
Actress Hoang Yen was born in 1976, graduated from the second Actor training class of the Youth Theater, Hanoi.
She is famous on the small screen for her flirtatious, polygamous roles such as Ms. Xuyen in Come Home, My Child , Nguyet in The Taste of Love... Not only that, the fact that Hoang Yen has gone through 4 failed marriages also interests many people.
