Previously, the Investment Customs Branch issued a notice of temporary suspension of exit for Mr. Ken Nguyen (US nationality), General Director of Hai Tinh International Mineral Joint Venture Company. The temporary suspension of exit will last for 3 years, starting from May 19, 2023.

The reason is that Hai Tinh Company is being forced to execute an administrative decision on tax management and has not fulfilled its tax payment obligation, according to Enforcement Decision No. 515 dated March 13, 2023 of the Investment Goods Customs Branch.

On the same day, the Saigon Port Customs Branch, Region 4 (HCMC Customs Department) also announced the cancellation of the temporary exit suspension for Ms. Nguyen Vu Thuy Uyen, Director - legal representative of TB Bao Nguyen Company Limited (Phu Trung Ward, Tan Phu District, HCMC). The reason is that the enterprise has also fulfilled its tax payment obligations and is late in paying taxes to the state budget.

In addition, the Customs Sub-Department of Investment Management also issued Decision 1048, forcibly suspending customs procedures for import and export goods for Viet Anh Sang Garment Company Limited (Cu Chi, Ho Chi Minh City). The reason is that the enterprise owes and is late in paying taxes of nearly VND 2,252 billion. The suspension of customs procedures for the enterprise is from May 24, 2023, for a period of 1 year until the enterprise completes its tax obligations.

In May, many units under the Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department issued documents to the Immigration Department (Ministry of Public Security) regarding the temporary suspension of entry and exit for representatives of a number of enterprises with tax debts. Specifically, in the first week of the second month of May, the Saigon Port Customs Branch, Region 1, announced the temporary suspension of entry and exit for a series of business representatives: Mr. Nguyen Khanh Thanh - Hop Nhat Nong Company Limited; Ms. Do Xuan Trang - Green Lotus Joint Stock Company; Mr. Dang The Ky - Hiep Vuong Import-Export Trading Company Limited; Mr. To Hoang Vu - To Liem Company Limited; Mr. Ho Pham Minh Tam - Minh Thai Loc Company Limited; Ms. Le Thi Thao - Thao Dat Development Production and Trading Company Limited.
