On August 25, information from Military Hospital 175 said that for 3 consecutive months, the hospital has participated in air rescue for 8 patients from Truong Sa island district, Khanh Hoa to the mainland and successfully treated them.
Accordingly, from June to August 2024,
Military Hospital 175 coordinated with the Southern Helicopter Company (Army Corps 18) to participate in air ambulance transport to the mainland in a timely manner, ensuring safety. The hospital actively treated, helping 7 patients to be discharged and 1 patient to be monitored further. In particular, some special cases such as: Fisherman PK was fishing when he suffered a multiple-trauma work accident, completely severed 1/3 of his right arm, closed chest trauma, fracture of the 4th rib on the right side, and soft tissue trauma to the jaw and face. After being transferred to Military Hospital 175, the patient was screened for injuries, and doctors at the hospital consulted and gave a treatment plan. After a period of active treatment, the patient was discharged and recovered well.

Or the case of two patients, NTD (50 years old) who suffered a multiple-trauma accident while working and NVV (59 years old) who suddenly had convulsions and weakness on the left side of his body while fishing on the Truong Sa island district fishing grounds. Transferred to Military Hospital 175, both patients were effectively treated, recovered quickly and were discharged. The case of two patients, TVH (1976) who suffered acute kidney injury and D.VT (1988) who fell 7m high and had a 3-part femur fracture, were also promptly transferred from Truong Sa island district to Military Hospital 175. Doctors conducted a consultation and gave appropriate treatment directions. Currently, patient TVH is being monitored further and has shown positive changes, while patient D.VT was instructed by doctors to take care of himself at home and was discharged from the hospital.

In early August 2024, the air ambulance team approached 3 patients MAT (born in 1994), NVQ (born in 1971) and KTB (born in 1987) in Truong Sa island district, all of whom suffered work accidents and serious injuries. After a period of intensive treatment at Military Hospital 175, 3 patients were discharged from the hospital, the most recent of whom was discharged on August 24. All patients were instructed by doctors to return for re-examination, monitoring and return to normal life. Air ambulance plays an increasingly important role in ensuring the "golden time" in emergency and treatment, helping to reduce mortality and complications for patients after emergency care. Overcoming bad weather conditions and flying at night, the medical team of the 175 Military Hospital's air ambulance team, regardless of difficulties or dangers, promptly transported patients from the country's outpost islands to the mainland for treatment.
