VinBrain Company and 108 Military Central Hospital (Hospital 108) have officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement to apply information technology (IT) and artificial intelligence (AI) in management, support professional work and scientific research. The signing helps both sides work together to build smart medical solutions, meeting the increasing health care needs of the people, as well as bringing high efficiency in management and operation at this hospital.
After a period of testing a number of applications such as: DrAidTM image diagnosis; DrAid Enterprise Solution (data management platform); SenMeTM (psychological counseling chatbot) in a number of specialties, both VinBrain and Hospital 108 realized the great potential of AI, not only in ongoing projects but also the opportunity to expand to many other specialties. This has prompted the two sides to sign a memorandum of understanding to more clearly define the goals and focus in the digital transformation process at the hospital.
DrAid™, a comprehensive AI platform, delivers two key benefits: First, significantly improving the workflow and efficiency of imaging diagnosis, helping doctors make faster and more accurate treatment decisions. Second, processing medical data from multiple sources, from storage to extraction, analysis and trend prediction, thereby improving operational efficiency.
In addition to DrAid™, VinBrain also offers SenMe™, an AI chatbot that operates 24/7 as a companion, taking care of users' mental health. SenMe™ applies GenAI technology to converse in natural language, has the ability to detect psychological problems early, propose stress reduction solutions and provide psychological support.
Every day, Hospital 108 examines from 4,000 to 5,000 patients. The hospital is facing the opportunity to transform into a smart hospital by investing in advanced technology in operations. The big challenge now is that Hospital 108's massive database needs to be exploited effectively to become a forecasting tool or in-depth research that is carried out in the fastest and most accurate way. Therefore, the desire of the leaders of Hospital 108 is to create a digital transformation revolution through AI technology, not only to optimize the workflow of the medical team, reduce waiting time for patients, but also contribute significantly to improving the capacity to develop new treatment methods.
Major General, Professor, Dr. Le Huu Song, Director of Hospital 108, said: "We are very busy with the daily work of medical examination and treatment, so researching new technologies is very difficult because it takes time. Therefore, if there is coordination between the two sides, we can develop technology products that can be applied immediately to the hospital."
“VinBrain expects that technological cooperation with Hospital 108 will create momentum to accelerate the digital transformation process using AI of the hospital itself and the entire healthcare industry, contributing to the development of the country's healthcare industry," said Mr. Truong Quoc Hung - Founder and CEO of VinBrain.
In the coming time, Hospital 108 and VinBrain will focus on implementing 3 contents: First is applying AI technology to medical examination and treatment and hospital management; second is researching and developing DrAid products as well as other AI products, aiming to continuously improve the quality and efficiency in disease diagnosis and treatment, as well as in hospital management and operation; third is scientific research. Building and managing standardized, intelligent, and modern patient data is the basis for promoting the development of scientific research and multidisciplinary AI application research in medicine.
