After several weeks out with injury, Bellingham returned to the starting line-up as Real Madrid travelled to Cadiz in La Liga round 14. The England star played as an attacking midfielder behind strikers Rodrygo and Joselu, with Federico Valverde and Toni Kroos in midfield.
With home advantage, Cadiz pressed the field right from the opening whistle. Javi Hernandez and Chris Ramos both had chances in the first 10 minutes but failed to capitalize when facing goalkeeper Lunin.
Real Madrid's sharpness was shown in the 14th minute, when Bellingham passed the ball well for Rodrygo to score with a high corner shot at the far post to open the score 1-0.
After Rodrygo's goal, the match became more exciting. Both teams played openly and created many opportunities, however, the lack of luck of both teams' strikers meant that there were no more goals in the first half.
In the second half, the game was completely tilted towards Real Madrid. Bellingham played brilliantly on the field with two smart assists, but Joselu and Rodrygo were unable to take advantage of them.
It was not until the 64th minute of the match that veteran Modric made his mark with an assist for Rodrygo to complete his double, raising the score to 2-0 for Real Madrid. The winning goal for Real Madrid came in the 74th minute with the mark of Bellingham.
Receiving a pass from Rodrygo, Bellingham finished into the far corner, giving the Cadiz goalkeeper no chance. With a resounding 3-0 victory, Real Madrid has 35 points and leads La Liga with 35 points, one point ahead of Girona (who face Bilbao tonight).
