Bellingham received the lowest rating on the Real Madrid side.

VnExpressVnExpress01/05/2024

German newspaper Marca only gave Jude Bellingham a score of 5 for his performance in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final between Bayern and Real.

The Spanish newspaper criticized Bellingham for lacking precision and attacking flair against Bayern. Furthermore, the English midfielder made a mistake, losing possession and nearly conceding a goal from Harry Kane's lob. Bellingham's score of 5 was the lowest for Real Madrid in the match.

Bellingham was signed by Real Madrid from Dortmund for $113 million in the summer of 2023. The English midfielder quickly adapted, scoring 21 goals and providing 10 assists in 36 matches across all competitions. In La Liga alone, Bellingham has scored 17 goals, ranking second in the top scorer list, one goal behind Girona striker Artem Dovbyk.

At the Allianz Arena on April 30th, Bayern started better, but Real Madrid took the lead after Toni Kroos played a through ball to Vinicius, who went one-on-one with goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. At the start of the second half, Bayern capitalized on their opportunities to turn the tide. Initially, Leroy Sane broke through and shot into the near corner to equalize 1-1 in the 53rd minute. Four minutes later, Harry Kane converted a penalty to make it 2-1 after Lucas Vazquez fouled Jamal Musiala.

Bayern had opportunities to extend their lead, but failed to capitalize. They paid the price when Kim Min-jae fouled Rodrygo in the penalty area in the 83rd minute, resulting in a penalty for Vinicius to equalize 2-2.

Marca gave Vinicius the highest rating on Real Madrid's side, an 8. The Brazilian forward was praised for his run to receive Kroos's through ball to open the scoring, as well as his composure in converting the penalty to equalize near the end of the second half.

Kroos and center-back Antonio Rudiger both received a score of 7. The rest of Real Madrid players all received a score of 6, except for Lucas Vazquez, who received a score of 5, the same as Bellingham.

On the Bayern side, Give Me Sport gave Kim Min-jae the lowest rating of the match, a score of 4. The South Korean center-back allowed Vinicius to get past him for the first goal and committed a foul in the penalty area leading to the second goal.

Midfielder Leon Goretzka received a 4.5 rating for not holding onto the ball securely enough and being easily beaten in the first half. After the break, coach Thomas Tuchel replaced Goretzka with Raphael Guerreiro. Meanwhile, Jamal Musiala received the highest rating of the match, a 9. Sports websites praised the 21-year-old for consistently causing problems for Real Madrid's defense, even when Bayern Munich were not playing well.

In Bayern's midfield, Konrad Laimer was the best player, scoring an 8. The Austrian midfielder played a direct role in neutralizing Bellingham. He also made numerous tackles, leaving Real Madrid players within his control with almost no space to launch attacks.

Sane also received an 8 from Give Me Sport . The German winger scored the equalizer with a breakthrough run through Real's defense, in addition to his constant threat whenever he had the ball.
