During 3 days of exciting competition, the 3rd Dien Bien Provincial Family Badminton Tournament - 2023 gathered more than 100 athletes competing in 9 events; divided by age groups, including: Husband-wife pairs, father-child pairs and mother-child pairs.

The final match of the father-son category aged 35 and over will be held on the morning of June 25.

In his closing speech, comrade Doan Van Chi, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dien Bien province, highly appreciated the efforts, careful preparation, enthusiastic training and noble competitive spirit of the athletes' families, as well as the responsible work of the organizing committee and the referee team.

Through the results of this tournament, comrade Doan Van Chi hopes that when the athletes return to their agencies, units and families, they will continue to propagate and mobilize family members and people in the area to actively participate in physical exercise, sports in general and badminton in particular.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Van (Noong Het commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province) shared that her family participated in 3 events and won first prize in the mother-daughter doubles event with her daughter Nguyen Thuy Minh. She said that her family regularly participates in local physical education and sports, including badminton; and at the same time, she thanked the organizers for creating a useful playground for families throughout the province to exchange, learn and compete.
