This morning, July 25, Le Duan Political School held a closing ceremony for the first training course for department-level leaders and managers in 2024 for 38 officials from Salavan and Savannakhet provinces (Laos).

The training course opened on July 11, 2024 and has now been completed. The course was attended by 39 students who are current leaders of provincial and district departments, branches and sectors.

During the course, students are trained in leadership and management skills at the department level according to the program issued by the Vietnamese Ministry of Home Affairs, including 10 topics/56 lessons.

The program equips students with knowledge and skills such as: overview of departmental leadership and management; leadership and management culture; departmental leadership and management in the context of promoting public service provision; advisory skills of departmental leaders and managers; planning and organizing implementation; assigning, inspecting, and supervising; applying the law; organizing and running meetings and practical experience in innovating the organization and operation of public service units.

The content of the topics is of interest to students, especially the skills topics. The work of preparing lesson plans is closely directed by the school's board of directors, the lesson plans are carefully approved; some electronic lesson plans are translated into Lao, facilitating the communication of lecturers and the absorption of students.

The form of teaching through interpretation is carefully prepared, with smooth coordination between the lecturer and the interpreter, helping to convey the content of the lecture quite effectively. The study schedule is arranged scientifically and promptly, ensuring progress and the proposed plan.

Combining the training motto of theory with practice, the school organizes for students to conduct field research at some locations and famous places in and outside the province such as: Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, Memorial House of the late General Secretary Le Duan, Hue City and organizes sports activities, cultural activities, exchanges, and intimate meetings...

Through the practical research program combined with field trips, students acquire and acquire useful practical knowledge, creating excitement in the training process, while helping students understand more about the identity, cultural traditions and people of Vietnam in general, and Quang Tri province in particular.

As a result, 38/39 students were eligible to receive graduation certificates. In general, students strictly followed and complied with the training and development regulations of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the school; and were highly self-disciplined in their studies and training.

Student management, service, teaching and information exchange are handled promptly and effectively. Student policies and regimes such as temporary residence, food, accommodation, study and living are resolved fully, promptly and in accordance with current regulations.
