Electing 26 comrades to the Provincial Farmers' Association Executive Committee, term 2023

With the theme: "Promoting the strength of ethnic solidarity, building a strong and comprehensive association; enhancing the capacity of the people in developing agriculture, rural economy, building new rural areas, contributing to building Dien Bien province to develop rapidly and sustainably"; The Congress fully and comprehensively assessed the association's work and the farmers' movement for the 2018-2023 term ; set out directions, tasks and solutions for implementation in the coming time. Accordingly, in the past term, under the leadership of the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Association, the basic goals and targets were achieved and exceeded compared to the resolution, of which 4 targets were achieved and 8 targets were exceeded. The highlight was the work of propaganda, political education, and ethics for members and farmers. The association's work and the farmers' movement were innovated in both content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots. The work of building and consolidating the association's organization has been enhanced; the role and responsibility of cadres, members and farmers in participating in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, building the Party and building the political system have been promoted. Attention has been paid to the work of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of members and farmers ; foreign affairs have been strengthened.

In addition, the association's movements such as: Competition in good production and business, competition in building new rural areas, participation in ensuring national defense and security... Those results have contributed to agricultural development, improving the material and spiritual life of members and farmers, ensuring social security, maintaining political security, social order and safety, and national border sovereignty.

Delegates vote to elect the Executive Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association, term 2023 - 2028.

In his congratulatory speech at the Congress, Comrade Cao Xuan Thu Van, Vice President of the Vietnam Farmers' Union and Comrade Mua A Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee , praised the results achieved by the Farmers' Unions at all levels in the province during the past term. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee also suggested that in the coming time, the Farmers' Unions at all levels need to frankly acknowledge the limitations and weaknesses in their activities in order to propose specific solutions to build a comprehensively strong Farmers' Union, truly a reliable support for members and farmers in the province. In particular, it is necessary to pay attention to and focus on performing well a number of tasks, such as: Continuing to do well the work of propaganda, political and ideological education, raising awareness of cadres, members and farmers about the role and position of farmers in agricultural economic development and new rural construction; Propaganda and mobilization of people to implement the Project on Mobilizing Support for Building Great Solidarity Houses for Poor Households in Dien Bien Province , towards the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, focusing on the grassroots, implementing the motto "Where there are farmers, there is the Association". Along with that, further promote the central role, being a companion of farmers, being an effective bridge connecting "4 houses" in developing agricultural production, building new rural areas: State - Business - Farmer - Scientist, especially the role of a bridge in agricultural product value chains, bringing high economic efficiency in agricultural production...

In the spirit of democracy and responsibility, 292 delegates representing nearly 85,000 members voted to elect 26 comrades to the Provincial Farmers' Association Executive Committee for the 2023-2028 term, leaving one comrade vacant.
