Nguyen Hoang Anh Khoa (class 8A3), a student at Chau Van Liem Secondary School, said: "The model consists of 3 main parts: a saltwater tank, an evaporation tank and a fresh water tank, operating on the mechanism of evaporation and condensation of water. This is the knowledge we learned in physics in grade 7. We made this product based on the current situation of fresh water shortage in the provinces of the Southwest region. The way this filter works is very simple, just heat the saltwater, then open the lock to let the saltwater flow into the evaporation tank. The model uses heat energy from the sun to evaporate the water, then condense and flow into the fresh water tank."

In addition, the exhibition area also introduces a model depicting a volcanic eruption, made from plastic bottles, colored craft paper and some substances such as dishwashing liquid, baking soda, food coloring, etc.

Ms. Le Thi Binh, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Nhuan District, shared with students about designing models to apply knowledge into practice.

Ms. Le Thi Binh, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Phu Nhuan District, said that the STEM Education Festival - Unleashing Creativity was organized to create a playground for teachers and students from preschool to secondary school to exchange, discuss, and introduce products from teachers' STEM education design and organization activities; students' science and technology products; and robot design, manufacturing, and programming.

"From these activities, during the teaching process at school, teachers emphasize practical activities and modeling methods in solving real-life problems through group activities, collective activities, and community activities. From there, students can practice their skills, thinking, creativity, debate, and critical thinking," said Ms. Binh.
