Series of technology products attract young entrepreneurs
Taking place in Ho Chi Minh City, the leading Southeast Asia Innovation Exhibition and Forum - InnoEx 2024, brings together more than 4,000 CEOs, 85 investment funds and 150 startups from Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
This is considered one of the largest innovation exhibitions and forums in the region, introducing a series of advanced technology products such as electric vehicles, battery charging systems and AI applications in the fields of finance, logistics and health.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee - affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City is the most dynamic innovation center in the country, accounting for 50% of the number of startups, 40% of incubators, 44% of investment capital and 60% of large deals.
He hopes this event will help Ho Chi Minh City maintain its position as an economic locomotive and an attractive destination for investors and innovative businesses.

According to Tuoi Tre Online , hundreds of booths at InnoEx 2024 displayed many green technology products, applying AI in production and business activities to help save costs.
At the event, businesses met and discussed directly with foreign corporations about the story of operating to reduce costs in the context of difficult competition.
Ms. Thao Vi, representative of Met EV Company, a Vietnamese start-up, said the company offers electric motorbikes, bluetooth-connected helmets, battery swapping stations, and electric-assist bicycles.
Eboost's charging station solutions also attracted interest with many orders, especially charging systems for electric cars and motorbikes.
Another highlight of the event was the application of AI in many fields. Mr. Il Dong Kwon, CEO of BCG Vietnam, shared that businesses applying Generative AI (GenAI) have recorded growth of at least 2.6% and saved up to 95% of costs for marketing activities.
In banking, AI has helped organizations like UBS and JP Morgan increase productivity by six times, significantly reducing costs for customer service departments.
In healthcare, AI is also making major breakthroughs. Mr. Steven Truong, founder of Vinbrain, said that despite many challenges in integrating AI into the hospital system in Vietnam, the benefits that AI brings are undeniable.
Some tasks that would take humans 10 years to complete, AI can handle in just 11 hours. "So applying AI is inevitable no matter how difficult it is. We just have to know how to use AI properly," said Mr. Steven.
InnoEx 2024 is not only a playground for new ideas, but also a bridge for startups and investment funds to seek cooperation opportunities. The event has proven that Ho Chi Minh City is not only an economic center but also a leading destination for innovation in Southeast Asia.
