With an attractive prize structure and high bonus points, the Chinese badminton tournament attracts most of the world's top players to compete. Thanks to her world ranking of 28th, Nguyen Thuy Linh has the opportunity to participate in the tournament. Not only that, the Dong Nai player also won in the first round against Myanmar player Thet Htar Thuzar (world ranking 54). This victory alone brought the number 1 Vietnamese player 6,000 USD (nearly 150 million VND) in prize money and 5,400 bonus points on the Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings.

At around 4pm today, Nguyen Thuy Linh will compete in the second round of the women's singles, facing the world's 9th ranked player and 7th seed Aya Ohori (Japan). If she defeats this opponent and gets a ticket to the quarterfinals, Nguyen Thuy Linh will "pocket" 11,000 USD (nearly 275 million VND) in prize money. And at the 2022 World Championship, Vietnam's No. 1 tennis player came from behind to defeat Aya Ohori with a score of 2-1 (12/21, 21/19, 21/11).
