Surprise in the first round of phase 2 of the national volleyball championship

Vietnamese volleyball fans witnessed two very good matches in the opening round of the second phase of the national volleyball championship between Quang Ninh Club and LPBank Ninh Binh Club, and Information Corps Club and Duc Giang Chemical Club.

Bich Tuyen and LPBank Ninh Binh Club won a narrow victory against Quang Ninh

National player Vi Thi Nhu Quynh and foreign player Basa (Turkey) played with high performance for Quang Ninh team, helping them create a surprise for the defending champion LPBank Ninh Binh. They took the lead twice but unfortunately for Quang Ninh team, LPBank Ninh Binh Club successfully chased them, equalizing the score 2-2.

The decisive match took place with a fierce competition between the two teams. The players of Quang Ninh team were less experienced in battle while Nguyen Thi Bich Tuyen and her teammates showed their bravery, exploded in time, won 17/15, closing the final victory 3-2.

Duc Giang Chemical Club defeated the Information Corps team.

In the following match, Duc Giang Chemical Club created a surprise when they quickly took a 2-0 lead against the Information Corps Club thanks to the efficiency of Tu Linh, Thanh Lien, Bich Thuy and Kenyan foreign player Sharon Chepchumba. It was not until the third game that setter Lam Oanh and Slovakian foreign player Jana Kulan showed their understanding, thanks to which the Information Corps Club won 2 consecutive games, equalizing the score 2-2.

The Duc Giang Chemicals team players exploded again in the decisive game 5. Therefore, despite the efforts of the girls from the Information Corps, Tu Linh and the Duc Giang Chemicals Club still won 16/14, closing out the final victory with a 3-2 victory.

The rankings after the first round of matches in phase 2 are as follows: 1/Information Corps Club (13 points), 2/LPBank Ninh Binh Club (12 points), 3/VTV Binh Dien Long An Club (11 points), 4/Thanh Hoa Club (9 points), 5/Duc Giang Chemical Club (8 points), 6/Industrial and Commercial Bank Club (5 points), 7/Quang Ninh (5 points), 8/Thai Binh (3 points), 9/Ha Noi (0 points).

Today (November 8), there will be 3 matches in the second phase of the national volleyball championship: Hanoi vs. Thanh Hoa (2 p.m.), the Bank for Industry and Trade vs. Thai Binh (5 p.m.), VTV Binh Dien Long An vs. the Information Corps (8 p.m.). The matches will be broadcast live on VTVCab, the On Sports channel, the On and On Plus applications.
