Surprise reveal of the first division championship trophy awarded to Da Nang team: Made in England

The trophy awarded to the Da Nang team at Hoa Xuan Stadium on the afternoon of June 23 is 66 cm high and 22 cm in diameter. Coach Truong Viet Hoang and his team will receive this prestigious trophy after the match against PVF.

The three trophies of Vietnam’s professional football tournaments were created over a period of 1.5 years. The design process alone, from the first idea to the final draft, took 1 year. The manufacturing process was done entirely by hand over a period of 6 months.

Da Nang team won the first division championship early and was officially promoted to V-League when the 2023 - 2024 season has not ended yet.

The trophy was crafted by a famous British jeweler.

The entire process is undertaken by the artisans of Thomas Lyte, a prestigious London-based jeweler. Thomas Lyte is a Royal Warrant holder for the design, manufacture and restoration of gold and silver objects for the royal family. It is also the place that designs and manufactures many trophies for prestigious tournaments such as the FA Cup, David Cup, Ryder Cup, Melrose Cup, FIBA ​​Basketball World Cup and AFC Asian Cup.

Talking about the launch of a collection of 3 new trophies designed and produced specifically for Vietnam's professional football tournaments, a representative of Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF), the tournament organizer, said: "In recent years, in the process of organizing national professional football tournaments, VPF has always strived to change itself step by step. From the opening videos of the tournament, to the music dedicated to V-League, setting a record for commercial value, and now VPF aspires to create its own value for the tournament with a different trophy. We understand that those trophies need to carry the spirit, creative spirit, the desire to elevate the tournaments but still have a strong oriental identity.

To do this, VPF has cooperated with Thomas Lyte - a unit with a tradition of producing trophies for over 100 years, has produced many prestigious trophies and is sponsored by the British Royal Family.

After many working sessions, the trophies were finally revealed, bringing satisfaction to VPF. VPF believes that these 3 prestigious trophies will create a strong impression for national professional football tournaments and will shine on the fields in Vietnam as our slogan 'shine together'.

VPF representative also said that the idea of ​​producing a special trophy version was formed a long time ago and the process of working and finding a partner to trust took a lot of time. Since 2022, VPF has had the first working sessions and quickly found a common voice with the famous jewelry company Thomas Lyte.

It is known that in the 2023 - 2024 season that is about to end, all 3 new trophies will be awarded to the top clubs in each tournament, marking a new and promising journey for Vietnam's professional football tournaments.
