Kiss of the Sea is the fourth consecutive tourism product that Sun Group has added to its entertainment complex in Sunset Town during this year’s festival season. It is also the next “brainchild” of ECA2, the world’s most famous multi-experience show production company based in France.
In its 30 years of existence, ECA2 has produced more than 60 shows in 17 countries around the world, many of which have become “golden goose” for destinations such as the Wings Of Time show in Singapore, which attracts more than 1 million visitors each year, or the Fountain of Dreams, which is considered one of the most worth-visiting destinations in Wuyishan, China.

With an investment of more than 4,000 billion VND, this show possesses the world's leading advanced and large-scale technology. It is a seawater projection screen of more than 1,000m2 that helps Kiss of the Sea establish the title of "The largest theater on the sea in history" or a stage with 3 consecutive projection domes and 300 devices used to set up multiple effects of light, fire, water, laser, fireworks...
“ This will be the world’s largest and most unique outdoor multimedia show,” said Julie Cugurno, Vice President of Operations at ECA2. “It will feature the world’s largest sea screen, state-of-the-art visual effects equipment, and artists from many countries, bringing different perspectives and emotions. We believe we have brought a spectacular, unique show of new international stature to Phu Quoc .”

Kiss of the Sea is a combination of multimedia performance technology, performances by 50 international artists and nightly fireworks, promising to become one of the most anticipated outdoor shows when visiting Phu Quoc in particular and Vietnam in general.

There are up to 8 technologies and performing arts used in Kiss of the Sea: fire, water, laser, light, music, projection, fireworks and finally the art performance of international actors. Equipped with 3 consecutive projection domes, the largest sea screen in Asia, combined with the open space and lively sound of Phu Quoc sea, the stage of the show has no limits and no boundaries with the audience. Each audience watching the show is also a character participating in a romantic but also dramatic journey in the galaxy, where they need to be ready to feel the heat of "lava", get wet after each water explosion, and then burst into happiness when the characters defeat evil in a fireworks display.
If technology brings the overwhelming, the artists will play the role of increasing the emotions. 50 artists in costumes and glowing props will appear unexpectedly from the sea stage, bringing spectacular and beautiful ballet, jumping, acrobatics, stilt techniques... In particular, in the 5 performances, their costumes, makeup, costumes and choreography are varied, to express different nuances and emotions. Sometimes they simulate the magical movements of planets in the Milky Way, and sometimes it is the drama when evil appears...
ECA2's creative director shared: “The Kiss of the Sea is a unique combination of multimedia effects and artist performances. Each scene is truly different in terms of space, music and effects. The idea of the show is a journey through dimensions, with poetry, romance and of course action and suspense before the audience can reach a happy ending.”
A unique blend of fiction and indigenous culture
The Kiss of the Sea is a fantasy story about a young man from Phu Quoc and a guard who unexpectedly came to Earth through a black hole in space. The power of love and solidarity helped the main characters defeat the dark forces that were threatening the safety of the Earth and the galaxy. As a show of imagination and modern technology, The Kiss of the Sea also contains Vietnamese cultural codes from effects to content.

Observant visitors will recognize the names and the way the characters are built are taken from the theory of the five elements: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and the element of Earth is Phu Quoc. The art of Vietnamese shadow puppetry also cleverly appears in the characters' shapes and the setting is inspired by the Vietnamese landscape. In the story of The Kiss of the Sea, the bridge connecting the earth and space will forever exist somewhere in the galaxy. The skillful storytelling also explains the birth of Cau Hon, a symbol of love and connection.
Not only praising eternal love, the show Kiss of the Sea also conveys humanistic values about the responsibility to preserve and protect nature, and protect wild animals in the wild from the risk of extinction. Visitors will meet the character Phu Quoc dog or dugong - an animal that is at an extremely endangered level.
