Arrested the person who leaked Chau Hai My's medical records

On December 12, Chinese media reported that actress Chau Hai My had passed away. The management company said that the 57-year-old actress died after a day in a coma and due to illness. Following the wishes of the actress's family, they did not want to make the details public.

However, on December 13, a medical record believed to belong to Chau Hai My was shared online and reposted by several news sites. According to the report, the actress was said to have been unconscious before arriving at the hospital. Therefore, despite intensive emergency care, she could not survive.

On December 14, QQ reported that the Beijing Health Commission (China) found two people who spread emergency records and medical records of Chau Hai My on social media. Accordingly, one person is a medical staff and the other is a friend of the late actress.

The medical staff has been suspended. Two people have been summoned by the police for investigation. According to the investigation agency's source, these people shared pictures of Chau Hai My's medical records with the purpose of showing off to their friends.

Under Chinese law, leaking other people's private information, including the medical records of the deceased, can result in lawsuits and penalties.

QQ newspaper commented that medical staff who violated Chau Hai My's privacy could be fined about 10,000-50,000 yuan (33-189 million VND) and suspended from work for 12 months. In serious cases, their medical license could be revoked.

The leak of Chau Hai My's medical records has angered her relatives. Currently, the artist's family is rushing to prepare for her funeral but has not announced specific funeral plans.

Chau Hai My's sudden passing surprised her colleagues, fans and close friends. Before her death, she still posted statuses on her personal page, attended events and celebrated her 57th birthday.

Chau Hai My has appeared in projects such as Kim Bai Phong Van, Dinh Menh, Trieu Phu Luu Manh, Vo Lam Truyen Ky, Mat Dai Hoang Ton, Cuoi Ngao Truoc Ngay Mai, Moi Tinh Am Tham, Dai Nao Quang Xuong Long, Nghia Bat Dung Tinh... In particular, she is best known to Vietnamese audiences for her role as Chau Chi Nhuoc in Y Thien Do Long Ky (1994).

Over the years, Chau Hai My has continued to work in the arts and appeared in several films such as The Legend of Wu Mei Niang, Ashes of Love, and The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber (2019). Although she only played a supporting role, Chau Hai My still left a deep impression on fans with her diverse acting.
